The Asian Pacific islander caucus and itself is one of the original four caucuses of the party and the party recognizes that playing into the role in California population is blossoming in many person California and recognizing that is of vital importance for the Democratic party to continue to grow and continue to succeed and to show to not only California but to the rest of the country that straight it does come from diversity that it is a growing demographic. It is leaning towards damn Chronic voting and registration which is great but we can't take that for granted this party. The California Democratic party's been extremely successful and um advancing diversity and making sure everyone has a part. Uh you know. Seat at the table and making sure that you know our party is representative of our California, which is the most after state in the country. There are opportunities now um within our caucus locally I've seen different communities really rise up And represent baby, I hope you know the voices very well. We have the most legislators we've ever had in California, history. We have 12 Democratic, strong guy leaders right now and from orange County and four of our congressional seats of part are in play. This year. We have a very high vietnamese population. We have a very high create American population, one of the biggest things that we're excited we're excited counties, trade, fair at a way to engage just be Engaging this communities in the community there are also a lot of Republicans and so um when you have Democrats are issues are different from their so it's a lot of having a discussion and working together in terms of how to address the needs a Green. I thinking a lot of ways, especially with older Asian Americans or Asian Americans that maybe more recently immigrated to the United States, there is, I think, a bit more of a conservative streak Whereas the younger, a especially bill, sport, uh in urban centers, like Los Angeles, like San Francisco, I'm excited about our just simply much more Progressive. Maybe my generation versus the other generation. I think values tend to remain the same is just the way that people go about executing value there's, something that values become a reality that make sense they're our values that you have that span across generations and uh. You know I see that a lot more now that I get a little uh older and I say that older I'm just in my may 20 so we have a lot of students I've been high schools and colleges who are more interested enjoying their local organizations in grassroots um by joining local clubs. Uh and really helping out with the Democratic process. A lot of the negativity and and he trade and and a lot of just bad stuff that just coming out of the federal administration is being combat it by a lot of four different kinds of people. A lot of people seem to be caught up in the toxicity of credit past races and fighting against trump, but now is not the time to simply fight against trump. We need a Against them at every step of the way, but what we really need to be doing is empowering tell my why the Democratic party is a hundred times better than a Republican counterparts. If I can we're honoring okay okay achievements. This weekend is definitely an honor for me because people like this and remember people like that he, like mom have really plays the trail here in California, but again having us at the people is as important as celebrating our accomplishments. We don't see Faces other social our people faces in challenges as us, then those issues will never be addressed.
