California will be number one and education again. I'm excited to have the opportunity to potentially serve as superintendent to make sure you get a great education for all our kids. My name is Tony thurmond and I'm running for superintendent of public instruction in the great state of California yeah. I think californians moving in the right direction but we have to continue to double down. We need to close our teacher shortage so that we can close the achievement gap so we can improve special education and to that end I've introduced a bill that gives the scholarship to anyone who wants to become a teacher and a teacher housing bill so our educators can afford to live in the communities where they work and serve we need to close the school to prison pipeline and make sure that every kid gets a great shot at education and that we will be taxing Presents to raise money for preschool and supporting our students who take 12 enter College. Let us educate and not incarcerate our kids in the great state of California. It's very important that we get everyone out to vote. The stakes are high in education in Congress and so we need to make sure that all californians to get out to vote that we protect the things that we've built here our support for dreamers our support for the diversity of our students we're gonna fight hard for them and make sure we turn out to vote during this election. Let's give all of our students a great public education in California. Thank you. We got some work to do But I'm encouraged about the direction that we're taking and I know we can do great things in the state of coffee
