On Sunday December 11th we have our first photographic exhibition by Iain White who worked for the national press including the N.M.E. which was the publication covering gigs and events nationally, as well as the Scotsman and other main stream newspapers. Iain has never shown any of this work before, we are excited to host the first ever exhibition of his rock photography. All the photos will be for sale and are sure to become investments as his work is iconic and historic.

O...n Saturday 17th December is the Steve Morrison gig with support from David Faill and Chloe Whiteman, doors 7.00pm. Its £15 per ticket which includes nibbles, a drink, or corkage. It sold out weeks ago but we have 4 tickets available due to a cancellation. Not to be missed!

Hi everyone, we are having to cancel the open mic this weekend as half the performers have cancelled and we are down to 4 acts which is not enough to make it happen. Its the first time we have so many acts decline due to illness and other issues.

We are now taking bookings for the Xmas live special we are running between Xmas and New Year. Its on Wednesday 28th until Saturday 31st. Every day from 1pm we will have live music in the café for 4 days, we can accommodate 3-4 acts ...per day and each will get a 45min set. Some slots are already booked so please let me know as soon as possible to reserve your slot. We are usually busy during the festive period and the café will be buzzing all week.

Hi everyone,
Well what a fantastic evening we had on Monday night with Focus/Swung. It was the most memorable evening yet and everyone who came left on a high, including the band who had a great time with us. The music was unbelievable as the jam session from Swung (Pierre Van Der Linden, Menno Gootjes, Bobby Jacobs) moved from piece to piece and was unique to the evening. Then I took the stage with Yves Martins and Chris Dyer doing our ses...sion then out of the blue we were joined by Thijs Van Leer on vocals and Flute and it was incredible, the rest of the band joined us and then took over into a mind blowing final hour of some great improvised pieces, luckily we recorded sound and visuals and will have something available soon, probably on youtube, I will let you know.

Hi everyone, we have some great sessions coming up this month.

On Monday 17th October we have the members of Focus jamming in the café. They are on tour in the UK and are stopping here for a jam session under the name of Swung. I'm sure you will remember the track Hocus Pocus and other hits by the band in the 70s with the amazing instrumentals and vocals that were to secure the band a place in rock n roll history. It is a night not to be mis...sed as this is a one off event. We open at 6pm and music will start around 7pm, corkage £3 per person, soft drinks and snacks available. The tickets are £10 and are going to sell quick so let me know if you would like to reserve one, only 30 available. The band will be happy to chat and sign CDs after the show.
