ACCE member and mother of three Cecilia Reyna will appeal to the Compton City Council tonight to support her and her family in her fight to stay in her home. Her global private equity giant Invitation Homes gave her family $550 rent increase this past year- a 50% increase of their rent while they continue to live in slum conditions which the company refuses to fix.

We may have already turned in nearly 600,000 signatures to #RepealCostaHawkins for #RentControlNow, but we're STILL hitting the streets daily organizing to build this movement. We expect two victories this November: repealing Costa Hawkins, but more importantly, building a mass movement of renters across California—a movement that will have the power to win lasting change, no matter the issue.
