Hello, hello! I wrote a poem which features in this week's blog over at The Clearing, in which this poor, repressed Brit attempts to take on, and embody, the words of Marianne Williamson's most famous quote. Here's that quote in full, followed by a link to the poem. While you're there, check out some of the other gorgeous literary offerings - they will soothe your world-weary soul and lift your spirits faster than a triple shot coconut milk latte.
"Our deepest fear is not t...hat we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people will not feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
I’m super excited to announce the launch of The Clearing, a beautiful new website for beautiful new writing from a collective of gorgeously talented women that I had the very great fortune to meet last year. My poem, The Stillness Through It All is featured, and I’ll be writing brand new pieces for it regularly. Check it out here, and subscribe to have literary bone broth delivered to your inbox weekly! And find us on Facebook. LOVE!
New poem for the new(ish) year. On the beauty of a breaking heart... https://t.co/Fia657HLbn
A new old poem... as we head into the new year, full of grand plans... a reminder of the beauty of the small, the slight, the barely perceived. From my tiny being to yours, with love. xx
For everyone who’s passed through the darkness, a poem for the winter solstice. I hope that your holidays are filled with light, but if they’re not, if you’re struggling with pain, or loss, or grief, this one is for you. It began during a dark period a few weeks ago, and this seemed like the perfect day to finish it. Just know, wherever you are now, the light will find you. Much love xxx

It's my belief that we have the power to create change through media by showing images of the world as we want it to be, rather than as it is. My friend and collaborator, Sera Golding-Young and I were talking about how different it would have been to grow up in a world with same-sex images, and how that would have changed how we felt about what was possible for our lives. We decided it would make a great concept for the next music video for her band, Unsung Lilly. I love the sense of new possibilities I get from watching this, and it feels like the first step towards something bigger and wider. Oh, and the song is gorgeous, too. I hope you enjoy it and spread the love.
Imagine a world where we grew up with no societal boundaries or labels whatsoever when it comes to love

Check out the video I made with Sera Golding-Young, for her band Unsung Lilly's new song, 'Hear Us Roar'. There aren't many people I'd do that much running for, let me tell you. I've just pitched her an idea for a follow up. It's called 'Lying On The Sofa Eating Bonbons'. Off to do some method acting practice now...
