Camp Miakonda's 100 year celebration was very well done and for many of us, was a wonderful trip down memory lane.
As a scout, I was able to accomplish a great many of the merit badges I needed to ge...t my Eagle Scout award at Camp Miakonda, and have a great deal of fun at the same time.
The many volunteers and scout executives that pulled this weekend off should be very proud of themselves for a doing such an excellent job.

Camp Miakonda is a wonderful place for the scouts! My son attended summer camp there for 2 weeks this past summer!!!! We also went for mother/son weekend and he went with my husband for a weekend also.... I loved attending the family nights they had during summer camp. The boys are able to learn so much about the outdoors and safety. I can't wait for the Halloween event coming up :-) See More

We camped in tents last year in may in the camping areas, we had to clean the area of leaves and branches that took a good 40 min before we could even put our tent and chairs up. The drinking fountai...n and water sprocket did NOT work, nor did the showers. Some scout parents stayed in cabins which had cochroaches, they need to clean this place up before I ever go their again See More

Miakonda is a great camp. It is both compact and large, with some great hiking trails and pretty good diversity of biology. The cabins are perfect for scouts.

Camp Miakonda is an unbelievable hidden jewel...just 5 minutes from Franklin Park Mall...but you'd never know you were that close to civilization when you're walking around the Camp :-)

As a Scoutmaster for a metro-detroit troop, this camp was beyond nice and helped accommodate us. The camp is outstanding and the scouts absolutely loved the COPE course. Definitely looking forward to ...the fort in a few months. Thank you again for everything you guys did. We can't wait to return in May. See More

At Camp Miakonda, we have much to be thankful for.
Year-round weekends are our most full times of the year, plus many midweek events. We are thankful for Scouts, community groups, school field trip students, and universities who use our camp for outdoor adventures!
We are especially thankful for groups like NYLT, Order of the Arrow, Troop patrols, Cub Scout dens, and others who continue to provide service and “give back” to Camp through projects.
Thank you!

At Camp Miakonda, we have much to be thankful for.
Summer Camps are special mountaintop events. We are thankful for the Scouts, leaders, parents, and staff who create these memories and share them with new friends!
Summer 2018 will feature Day Camps, Webelos Overnight Camp, and the new Tiger Overnight Camp (for current Kindergarten youth & parents).
Thank you for making Miakonda your home camp.
