There are old bleached trees that seem to stand sentry over high meadows and rocky outcrops on the path to Winnemucca Lake.

Frog Lake, Mokelumne Wilderness. 11" x 14" oil on panel. This is one of my favorite hikes. Sweeping vistas of neighboring mountain ranges and cirques, Frog Lake, Winnemucca Lake, Round Top Lake, and Lake of the Woods, and so many abundant wildflowers.
