We are into our second week at the new location. A few things to mention when you come to the new place are ....
1.. if you are early please wait and the gate will be unlocked 5 min before your appointment time. I keep the gate locked when I am grooming as safety is my main concern. I do not want the gate to accidentally not be latched properly and a dog gets loose.
2.. I do not have a large kennel space so dogs are done from start to finish and then they must go home. Satur...days always allow for 3 hours as this is the only day I may have dogs overlapping. If you need you dog done before that I do offer an express groom price. I will never forsake your dogs safety to get him done faster because you have plans.
3... please pick up after your dog if he poops. This is how deceases are passed and again the dogs health and well-being comes first.
4....If you need to leave your pet for the day please make sure that you let me know at the time the appointment is booked. I now offer daycare for those dogs.
5... There is no public restroom sorry.
6... on nice days you are more then welcome to sit out in the yard and read a book or lounge as your dog is groomed.
Thank you everyone in advance for understanding. I look forward to seeing you at your next appointment
As a lot of you know I do a lot of dog sports with Zaria and she plays hard. Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting a WONDERFUL animal massage therapist by the name of Teresa from Sweet Spot Massage. Not only does she have a way with dogs but she works at their pace. Just like us, dogs need to have us help them keep their bodies in shape. If anyone would like to try her let me know and I will give you her number. And she comes to you.
Well construction at the new location is completed so as of Monday April 11th I will no longer be working out of the Huron Location. I will be fully operating at the New location as of April 12th. Thank you and hope to see you all there.
I am excited to announce we are moving to the Fairway Mall area the end of April. We will be open Monday, Fridays from 8 to 6 and Wednesday and Thursday from 12 to 8 Saturday by Appointment. When you make your appointment I will provide need address and directions. We have downsized the space to be able to provide better service and minimizing the time the dogs are there. Thank you everyone for making Canine Styles successful. With out you all we would not exist. I look forward to seeing everyone at the new salon. Huron Rd will stay open until the move is complete.
Due to the looming storm possible tonight into the morning hours we will be closed until noon. I never want anyone's safety in jeopardy on the roads. Thank you everyone and please drive safe if you have to.
So true. Happy Wednesday everyone.
So you didn't crate train your dog
Emergency surgeries and injuries are part of owning a dog. Shit happens. Your vet puts your dog on crate rest and your dog ha...sn't been crate trained or desensitized to a crate. Now what? Your dog freaks out, causing more injury to itself and becomes very stressed. Stress makes healing time longer. Longer healing time means more time in the crate. It's a vicious cycle.
So you think crates are cruel and punishment
What is more cruel? Having your dog freak out and injure themselves when on crate rest, or have them very relaxed and settled in a crate when it needs to be used?
Crates are necessary at some points. It's best to have your dog relaxed in them prior to when that situation arises.
