Re: rumors of a big snowstorm around Feb 9... it is true that we think the overall pattern might be better than average for snow around that time. However, IGNORE posts on your FB wall that offer specifics (including talk of a blizzard and incredible amounts) and show model simulations this far out. THEY HAVE NO CREDIBILITY. Apparently there is some rumor floating around on Twitter/FB about a big snowstorm Feb 8-10. The truth (and you can quote me on this):
"Anyone who forecasts a blizzard two weeks in advance is a fool. They certainly have no background in atmospheric physics."
