Speaker: David Hendee
Carbon Five Director of Design

I've been lucky to have been continually surrounded by smart people, working with developers, designers, and business folk to deliver innovative, desirable, and valuable software to customers. I'm passionate about emergent design and group dynamics, and I love building things: models, prototypes, and production code. Finally, I enjoy the rare occasion when I know enough about something to teach another person.

Hi friends! Please forgive the length of this post. I have some news… As many of you know I've been working on a project to help the arts. I, a small team of de...signers and developers from San Francisco, and a bunch of artist friends and advisors have created a home for people who work in the arts and people who love the arts. Artists and arts organizations can tell their story creatively and professionally, expand their artistic community and find and share opportunities. The platform is called CONNECT THE ARTS. We have secretly launched our beta (maybe not so secret now) and are starting to build up membership (which is free!). I would love for all of my artist friends and arts-loving friends alike to join us. I feel very deeply about the mission of this project. Art is invaluable to my life and to the lives of all of humanity, in my opinion. There are no words that express how fundamentally elated I am to be part of this community and devote my energy to empowering the humans that examine and celebrate our lives on this planet – together. For more information visit the site: www.connectthearts.com and sign up! I'm also attaching a link to an interview that I just did with Christine Brewer and Kathy Lawton Brown (amazing women!) at the Radio Arts Foundation - Saint Louis - such an honor. If you're interested to hear more about the "why" take a listen. We had a great conversation. Let's make the world beautiful with more art!
