We loved the idea of being able to interact with the cats and kittens, I am sure the felines would be more interactive if you were able to actually cuddle and h...old them (gently of course) and for the staff to give people some credit for their own knowledge of caring for cats. We understand that there has to be some boundaries, however to be able to be more interactive without staff being overbearing is a suggestion...it would be also nice to have some more couches inside. Visited yesterday morning. Probably was the most opportune time of the day when all the kittens had full energy tanks ready to be as playful as possible with a ...myriad of toys at their disposal.
The slightly older cats are so gentle and sweet when they are awake and enjoyed a good sun bake and head scratch (they're clearly too mature for meager wiggly string toys).

We didn't order coffees as we had two before arriving, the other guests appeared to enjoy the beverages so I'd hazard a guess and say the friendly ladies behind the counter make a good cuppa. I did have a glass of water. If you're thirsty I'd recommend the water.

Finally, the group of guests who were visiting with us did have some excitable younger children with them but everyone was respectful of the rules and I quickly forgot about the little girl who stepped on my toe as she was replaced with an adorable kitten who must be on that new fad shoelace diet >:3.

Had a really great time here! The kitties were all sleepy so we had a really nice chill session, just watching them snooze and having an occasional pat. Can't s...peak highly enough of all the lovely people and kitties here. The cat's welfare is top priority and it was wonderful to see how much care and love they are given. We also tried a few sweet treats while there. I can recommend the salted caramel tart (which just happens to be vegan- excellent!) and hubby had the apple crumble. I also got some earrings and a sticker but gosh there was a lot of other goodies to chose from. Thank you Cat Cuddles, we really enjoyed our visit and hopefully we can return soon! عرض المزيد

I love the idea of this place, and that cats and kittens are well looked after by the team of lovely volunteers. Nice coffee too! My advice for others would be ...to check how many other people will be attending your session, as obviously you are likely to get more interaction with the cats - when my partner and I visited only 2 other people were present. But after reading a few surprisingly silly reviews on here I'd also say: the cats are not performers. Yes, they might be asleep when you attend. No, they may not want to be held or sit on your lap. Anyone who likes animals and has experience with cats should know this. Keep up the good work CCC! عرض المزيد

Visited again yesterday: my last visit was a year ago. The cuddle room itself hasn't changed much, but there is now a lovely airy upstairs cafe, with fresh fl...owers at each table (courtesy of Rose and Heart florists who are located within the cafe). The cafe barista made an excellent cappuccino, which I enjoyed whilst waiting for my scheduled cuddle time of 12.00 midday.
This enterprise is just going from strength to strength, whilst keeping as its priority the rehoming and welfare of its feline residents. All the felines are able to be adopted, after a careful screening of their potential new people.

These guys are doing a great job in rescuing the kittens/cats and rehoming them. It was lovely to see all the photos of the cats that had been rehomed. And love...ly cafe and gift shop... Happy to have gone along to support such a great cause. My only criticism would be, perhaps there should be another rule added - kids do not run all over the place, chasing after the kittens, poking them with sticks. It felt like it was one rule for the adults, and a different one for kids. عرض المزيد

I LOVED my visit to the Cat Cuddle Cafe!!! Everything about the place is friendly and inviting and the staff are lovely. The shop Is filled with an enormous a...rray of gifts, nick-nacks and various treasures. Of course the best part is meeting all the adorable cats and kittens. The kittens are filled with boundless amounts of energy and enjoy displaying it as they chase ping-pong balls and various toys around the room. Some snooze for a while but all enjoy a pat and some attention in their amazingly well decked out cat room where cats and humans are all comfy. Thanks for a totally paw-some morning!!! عرض المزيد

What a fantastic place! So many kitties to play with and cuddle all in one place. The volunteers are so friendly and happy to tell you all about the kitties in ...their care. This organisation cares so much for rescued kitties and visiting the cat cuddle cafe is a small way to help. Plus it's super therapeutic spending time with the kitties! عرض المزيد

I love cats and love the idea of the cafe where people can find cats to adopt that desperately need furever homes but it was a little off putting having staff h...over all the time and i felt like i couldn't fully enjoy the experience. Went there with my daughter and it was great to see these rescue cats getting a second chance. We had a drink and shared a vegan cup cake. The kitties were a l...ittle warn out by their earlier visitors so resting in their very comfy beds. A few of them graced us with a meet and greet. One look and you could see that they were healthy and happy. Not as many cats as we thought as many had been adopted so that was a good thing. The area was very clean and well set out plus there is a secure outdoor area for the residents to enjoy fresh air and sunshine. عرض المزيد

Take a break from real life and visit kitty heaven! You can grab a coffee and relax with the felines at the cat cafe, or if you find just that right furball you can adopt! They are shelter cats and need good homes so it's funding a great cause too!

The cats are all gorgeous and you can see they are really well looked after by all the volunteers. A few rambunctious kittens are there now and are so fun. Love the idea of saving cats from death row and neglectful owners, but rejection to a loving home because of an indoor only policy? That's bullshit, almost the... same as saying that "I won't let my daughter outside because she might step on a bindi or hurt her knee" if I were a rescue cat I'd rather enjoy the sunshine and grass between my paws and maybe risk a snake bite than rot away in a shitty indoor house for my life, what's more cruel? عرض المزيد

I feel totally devo. As a cat cuddle cafe it is probably okay. I understand that the cats have to be protected and looked after however the staff hovering was... very uncomfortable I was under the impression that the cats here are also looking for forever homes. Apparently not. I did visit today with the hope of adopting. It felt as though the cats were there for the purpose of promoting the cafe only For example I had seen Pearl on facebook and liked her however I was not allowed to take her out of the box to look at her or hold her. I did fall in love with a beautiful boy named Marvin who was 1 year old but when I enquired about adopting him I was told no because one.of kittens had bonded with him. I had to hold back the tears. I've been an long time liker and finally had the opportunity to visit with my children and a group of their friends for my daughters birthday!!
A great party ve...nue for cat lovers birthday party - the children have to be quiet and calm with no running if the cats are to come out for a cuddle!!!
Great friendly staff who kept an eye on us to make sure no cats were being unnecessarily harassed, and an array of gift to choose from.
We all had a lovely time and I plan on returning without the kids so I have more of an opportunity for cuddles!! عرض المزيد

Spoke to the foster carer of a kitten I wanted to adopt who, after a long discussion, convinced me to adopt an older cat. So even though I did not get the kitt...en I wanted I have now become the proud family member of a beautiful rescued fur baby. Delicious coffee and cakes. Beautiful atmosphere. Amazing staff. Happy cats.

This place is cat heaven! A brilliant way to try before you buy if you are wanting to adopt a cat or kitten. All the residents are in beautiful condition and very well socialized. Had a lovely visit.

I have visited 5 cat cafes in the last 2 weeks and this one has the best 'feel' of all of them. Everyone was so friendly it felt like visiting a friend's lounge & I LOVE the outside area. Would love to visit more often but it's a long trip from NZ!

Phyllis just amazed me by jumping up on the bed! Those little shrivelled front legs of hers are getting stronger every day. Her hind legs are super strong and do most of the work. Later this morning Phyllis and Michonne will be going to see the specialists at the Cat Clinic. Michonne may have her last cast change! Phyllis will be assessed to see what happens next with her little front legs. Wish them luck. UPDATE. We just had our appointment cancelled. We can't get in to see specilaist until Monday now.

Tonight we are having an impromptu open mike night. Hosted in the upstairs section of the Cat Cuddle Cafe by Orlando Mendoza.
Come and sip some barista beverages and chill to the sweet sounds of Orlando and anyone who may want to perform or jam. It's a buskers gig that we want to run on a regular basis. Performers get free bevies and some food and the proceeds of the buskers hat.
Do any people out there remember Cafe Lunar in New Farm in the 90's? I would love to resurrect the fun we used to have there. Please comment if you remember Cafe Lunar. Also if you think you can come tonight.

We were extremely lucky enough to have legendary comedian and certified cat lover Cal Wilson @calbowilson visit us at the cafe yesterday for some time with our cuddlestars. Update - Lupin has come home!

Lupin is an indoor only cat and has been missing since this afternoon. He is desexed, microchipped, no collar, has a little white tip at the end of his tail, random tuffs of brown fur near his 'armpit' area. He answers to food and tongue-clicking noises. .

Batfink and 4 of his foster siblings went in for desex yesterday. Everyone has been doing well, except for Batfink. Just after he arrived home he started coughing, he kept his foster Mum up all night with his coughing and snoring. It looks like he may have aspirated while under anaesthetic.

He is now on antibiotics and an anti-inflammatory. He is getting a lot of extra love, cuddles and his favourite dinner cooked (organic chicken). We hope he will be back to his happy and ...healthy self soon. We will monitor him very closely, if there is any change he will be straight back to the vet.

Once he has recovered he will go up for adoption, with Wilhelmina. With Batfink having several issues with his eyes and being blind, these two will need a very special family.

Batfink is proving to be a very expensive kitten, all the vet visits, trips to specialists medications and his expensive tastes add up. To help cover some of the costs, we are running a raffle for Batfink this month. The lucky winner will receive a $50 cafe voucher, cat ears and a signed (by Batfink) limited edition photo of Batfink. Simply pop into the cafe or message the page to buy your tickets.

Update on Peaches:
4 weeks ago Peaches fell out of a tree and dislocated and broke her leg before being surrendered to our rescue. Once in our care she went into surgery and then foster care with a pretty cast. So this week it was time for a check up. Dr Rhett was quite happy with her progress, so the new cast Peaches is now wearing is smaller than the original one. It's just due to the bandage that from the outside not a big difference can be told (except for the color change).
Peaches still does little kicks to get rid of this new red thing, but is nowhere near as freaked out as she was with the first cast. She rather wears it with pride - don't you think?

For INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY today, Florence and her girls have come up with an idea.
Coming from a life of abuse and neglect, Florence understands what it is like to have food and shelter and be safe.
We would love to give every woman a free cake or beverage with every entry into the Cat Room at the CCC today. We ask that you in turn bring a contribution to a womens shelter. It can be sanitary items or toiletries or a voucher for some sort of pampering.
If you are just passing by we will be having a general collection anyway. The CCC will again give some vouchers for entry to the CCC for one of the womens shelters. Our op shop next door will also be giving some luxury items.

Hi kids! It's Jessica from the online store here.

I often like to shift my thinking back to a simpler time; a time of love, peace and everything being groovy and fashion was at a bleeding edge. Of course I am referring to the wondrous 1960' and 1970's. Peace and love were the thing, as were flares, big hair (on both guys and girls) and platform shoes that would give KISS a nose bleed.

In a homage to those awesome days (yes, I'm from that era), I wanted to show you these Paisl...ey Acrylic Cat Ear Rings we have. They measure 17mm x 35mm and are available in Red, Orange, Green and to honor Jimi Hendrix (the master of sustain) Purple.

Sweetest little Phyllis would love to stay in someone's arms all day. Those little front legs slow her down just a little but she still plays and follows you around, always wanting to be picked up and cuddled.
Phyllis won't have any more intervention on her legs, they are what they are now. She is getting on with it and so must we.
We are looking for a very special home for her and with her mum, Florence would be best. Someone who is home most of the day to dote on the girls.... Someone who is prepared to care for all her needs and not baulk if she needs vet care.
We will be very picky with applications for their adoption for good reason.
Fleur Bunny and Michonne will also be a dual adoption.
