In his Lenten message, Pope Francis invites the entire Church community to celebrate the sacrament of Reconciliation in the context of Eucharistic adoration in the “24 Hours for the Lord” initiative. This year's theme is inspired by the words of Psalm 130:4, “With you is forgiveness”.

Our mother Church, Cathedral of the Good Shepherd will be opened from Fri 9 Mar, 6pm to Sat 10 Mar, 6pm. We invite you to spend some time with the Lord and to come back to Him through Sacrament of Reconciliation this Lent. Spread the word!

The Family is where we are formed as people. Every family is a brick in the building of Society. My Catholic background has certainly affected the way I view life and it has become integral to everyth...ing I do. It has given me a belief in things like structure, marriage, family, compassion for the poor, the importance of community, but I don't like to wear religion on my sleeve, I prefer to have it integrated into what I do. This community gives us a glimpse into the vibrant life in all Catholic parishes in Singapore. Its a great way to see what's been going on in different dioceses from East to West across tiny Singapore... and I am heartened to see that churches are starting to build up new media teams to share more photography, video and news of what is happening in their parishes. Keep up the good work all! See More

The whole purpose of prayer is to unite ourselves with the heart of God. It is not how many times we pray or how much we pray, but the depth of prayer that is important. The Lord's Prayer gives us the principles of what a prayer should be.

“Lunar New Year Mass with @archbishopwilliam
May His love fill our hearts and bring peace to our families during this New Year! Have a blessed New Year everyone!”

Lent is the beginning of new life. A time when we renew our lives, begin to grow and restore our lives to its fullness. During this period of time, the Church invites us to fast together, pray together, do good together.

Let us remember we are all pilgrims on this journey and help each other along the way.

What are the essentials of life? Let us spend time during Lent to find our focus in life again. Almsgiving speaks about charity and love. Prayer speaks about ou...r thirst for God, our desire to be one with God. What is most important is a harmonious relationship with one another and a deeper relationship with God.

We were inspired by the beauty of the Good Shepherd and Lamb of God images on the Cathedral’s ambo and altar. These magnets will be on sale for $15 a pair at the Cathedral’s entrance from 14 February onwards (after the Ash Wednesday and weekend Sat 6pm, Sun 8.30am, 10.30am & 5.30pm Masses) to commemorate the 1st anniversary of the Cathedral’s dedication.

In commemoration of the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes on 11 February, there will be blessing of the sick and distribution of blessed water after the 1pm Mass at the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd.

Mark your calendars, it's next Saturday!
