"When all your desires are distilled; You will cast just two votes: To love more. And be happy"
The Dalai Lama says that we are created for happiness....
To love and to be happy in the process of loving makes everything else seem unnecessary, don't you think?
Today the world feels quiet to me. It's overcast, the air is still and now and then a bird chirps. I am quiet within myself, almost sleepy; The world feels quiet to me today. I think of friends, old and new, 11 family members. I experience the sensation of loving and being loved. Life is good.
Today dawns with a heavy dew, blue skies, and bright sunshine. Today I am embracing life and mindful of its blessings. Last week was challenging so I am grateful that today I am open and not in resistance to life just as it is. Resistance is truly futile. Surrender is powerful; it simply means embracing this moment and trusting, that whatever it contains leads to the blessings of the moment yet to come.
Love is cosmic and eternal and never-ending.
Hannah, my 2 year old granddaughter, figured out a 4 piece puzzle yesterday all by herself. When she finished, she raised her arms and exclaimed "I did it! Hurray!" I think I'll cheer for myself once in a while...
One of the things I love about Native American spirituality is the lessons we learn from the Creator through animals, birds, etc. My most recent encounter has been with an opossum who lives nearby and who sets off my outside security lights every night. She is very very big and not in the least bothered by the lights. She is just who she is, doing her thing at night, just like she was created to do. She is just who she is. She reminds me that I am just who I am and it is enough because the Creator made me too.
I am in a new apartment! Not completely settled in yet but getting there. I blogged about it this morning so won't go into all of the details here. Hope y'all will check it out - yes, I spent many years in the south!
Have a beautiful day and remember that you are loved and not just by me!!
It is raining in Southern California and the sound as I type is a symphony of hope. So often nature brings comfort. A loved one died last Sunday and all of our tears fell like rain until fatigue brought respite. Today the rain reminds me that the Divine feels our sorrow and weeps with us. Never alone. All ways all one.

From Deepak Chopra: The less you open your heart to others, the more your heart suffers.
Miss Hannah Mae Dittman is a living example of an open, compassionate heart and she won't be two until next week! Let your heart have the openness of a sweet child.
Life is full of change and feels more challenging when we don't initiate it consciously. I am learning that often such changes are initiated by the Divine in order to fulfill my Soul's desire for my highest good and the highest good of all.
Enjoy this day as a gift!
This is a powerful full moon for releasing those behaviors and thought patterns that do not support your journey into enlightened living. Remember, the effect of the full moon is not just the actual day...use its power today, tomorrow, and Sunday. Engage the moon to shift and release. Let it help you unfold into True Self.
