We had some excellent entries, and it was brilliant to see so many people enjoying the site.
Congratulations to Gareth Murray, who took 1st prize - winning a 2 night stay in 2018, with a brilliant photo of his children viewing the sunset....
Analisa Plehn's photo of wild flowers with Woodminton down in the background took 2nd position.
Rio Gunawan took 3rd place, with a photo of a bell tent silhouetted against the setting sun. Thank you again for all your entries!

PHOTO COMPETITION 2016 - RESULTS!!!
Thank you Andy Barter Photography for judging this year's photo competition - we had over 60 entries this year, and some fantastic photos. 1st Place wins 2 weekday nights for 2017 & a bottle of bubbly on their arrival - 2nd and 3rd place 50% and 25% discounts respectively on their next stay.
1st Place - Sophie Murray...
Andy's comments "I really like the boy in the field, it has a dreamy feel and I like that the photographer has shot low at child level, nice composition, the boy looks like he’s in his pj’s. Camping brings you very close to nature and to your environment and at interesting times of the day, this image captures that effortlessly."
2nd Place - Matt Lewis
Andy's comments "I liked the girl by the bbq looking west at evening time, the view is very Woodminton farm (except when i was there there was no pond!) but the warmth of the evening sun and the gentle hills behind, the still smoking fire and her looking on makes for an evocative feel. Who needs to go abroad?!"
3rd Place - Chris Willans
Andy's comments "The shot of the edge of tent with the old oak tree behind (it had to feature) feels very english summer to me and I prefer a more “natural "image, the photographer caught a stillness and an understated beauty which of me sums up this lovely corner of England."
Once again thank you to everyone that made this year a success - and we hope that we will welcome many of you again next year. Our online booking system should be up and running fairly soon, but please get in touch if you have any questions. Thanks again to Andy Barter for judging our competition - I would definitely recommend checking out his profile to see some incredible shots.
Thank you Steve Heap (Highflyer Studios) for this awesome drone footage! https://youtu.be/v4D66kB1Pco
Had a gorgeous last-minute overnight stay at Chalke Valley at the end of July. It was lovely to just get away from everything, with no technology to hand. Gre...at to see the children playing board games and everyone having proper conversations without phoes going off or the TV on in the corner of the room. Will definately come again.
