1st time glamping, was a fun experience. 6 tents in a field with the most gorgeous setting.
A flushing loo and a hot shower. A kitchen with basic items. A ping pong table for something extra. beds in the tent. Cute fairy lights, marshmallows to toast and ciders to drink. We may not have picked the best month to go and it did rain. But the surrounding villages kept us all occupied. Would definitely come back again. Thank you See More

Chalke Valley is a perfect campsite for those who like camping but prefer to have some mod cons such as comfortable beds, flushing loos and hot showers. The site is set in stunning English country sid...e with gorgeous scenery all around. The hosts are on hand to make sure you have everything you need but mostly leave you to it, and they provide some really thoughtful extra touches such as marshmallows for toasting and a couple of ciders per tent. I highly recommend booking the whole site as we did and enjoy this wonderful space. Thanks again Hector and Duncan, we had the best weekend and are already thinking about coming back! See More

Absolutely fantastic 2 night family break. We booked the whole site for our anniversary celebration. Duncan was very accommodating, the tents were just great, very well equipped and comfortable, the ...extra touches - hampers fairy lights etc were the icing on the cake. The setting...well just idyllic! We had such a relaxing time. Will definitely make a return visit! See More

Amazing time, loving the fact that there's no electricity, no telephone signal and it's very peaceful at night. Very clean site and good shower facilities. We're definitely coming back!

I stayed here with a group of friends back in June. We all had an amazing time, and the owners were so accommodating they couldn't do enough for you. I would deffinately recommend for short break away... where you want to be completely disconnected from the world. Saying that, there is a great deal to do around, and some lovely local pubs.

Will defiantly be going back! =D

We received a wonderful welcome and enjoyed a very comfortable stay at this lovely 'glamp'site. The scenery certainly lived up to it's 'area of outstanding natural beauty' status and we were lucky eno...ugh to see it during fine weather and witness the amazing sunset. There is great attention to detail in the campsite, providing various home comforts, whilst still allowing you to feel like you're getting away from it all.
Already looking forward to our next visit!

Spent two nights here with my boyfriend and we loved it! Duncan was very welcoming, beautiful relaxing place, and one of the best nights sleep we've had! The tents and facilities were fantastic, the c...andles, fairy lights and little touches made it perfect! Wish we lived closer so we could go again more often! See More

The results are now in for this year's photography competition. Professional photographer, Andy Barter, has kindly chosen the winner again.

We had some excellent entries, and it was brilliant to see so many people enjoying the site.

Congratulations to Gareth Murray, who took 1st prize - winning a 2 night stay in 2018, with a brilliant photo of his children viewing the sunset.

Analisa Plehn's photo of wild flowers with Woodminton down in the background took 2nd position.

Rio Gunawan took 3rd place, with a photo of a bell tent silhouetted against the setting sun. Thank you again for all your entries!

This summer Hubby put a budget away so that we could go on some mini breaks. It was so exciting to have the chance to pick pretty much anywhere. Hubby randomly decided that Glamping would be a fun idea and found availability at Chalke Valley Camping in Salisbury and so we booked to stay for …

Chalke Valley Camping is now open for 2017. It was fantastic to welcome our first group of guests this weekend. Availability, particularly in July and August is quickly disappearing - but we still have plenty in May.

Thank you Andy Barter Photography for judging this year's photo competition - we had over 60 entries this year, and some fantastic photos. 1st Place wins 2 weekday nights for 2017 & a bottle of bubbly on their arrival - 2nd and 3rd place 50% and 25% discounts respectively on their next stay.

1st Place - Sophie Murray

Andy's comments "I really like the boy in the field, it has a dreamy feel and I like that the photographer has shot low at child level, nice composition, the boy looks like he’s in his pj’s. Camping brings you very close to nature and to your environment and at interesting times of the day, this image captures that effortlessly."

2nd Place - Matt Lewis

Andy's comments "I liked the girl by the bbq looking west at evening time, the view is very Woodminton farm (except when i was there there was no pond!) but the warmth of the evening sun and the gentle hills behind, the still smoking fire and her looking on makes for an evocative feel. Who needs to go abroad?!"

3rd Place - Chris Willans

Andy's comments "The shot of the edge of tent with the old oak tree behind (it had to feature) feels very english summer to me and I prefer a more “natural "image, the photographer caught a stillness and an understated beauty which of me sums up this lovely corner of England."

Once again thank you to everyone that made this year a success - and we hope that we will welcome many of you again next year. Our online booking system should be up and running fairly soon, but please get in touch if you have any questions. Thanks again to Andy Barter for judging our competition - I would definitely recommend checking out his profile to see some incredible shots.

Had a gorgeous last-minute overnight stay at Chalke Valley at the end of July. It was lovely to just get away from everything, with no technology to hand. to see the children playing board games and everyone having proper conversations without phoes going off or the TV on in the corner of the room. Will definately come again.
