Morning all; is it still ok to say Happy New Year? Happy New Year to all our members.
It’s been fairly quiet on the lakes over the winter few members putting the effort in but the Carp have gone AWOL!
We have a couple of pike matches confirmed on the Canberra for two other clubs so swims may be limited....
Sunday 11th February
Tuesday 20th March
Call for 18/19 members will be sent out soon, keep you posted on any news.
If you fancy a crack at Winter fishing on Charvil Complex we are launching a special Winter Ticket from now to end of March 2018.
Application available here; if anyone fancies a walk round the lake with one of our members, drop us a message on here.
The Carp still seem to be active but also expecting some of the big Pike to start coming out to play too......
Tight Lines and look forward to welcoming any prospective Winter members soon.
Winter is coming...but the carp are still biting!
Charvil Complex friend, Matt Eaton joined us a for a session last week and had a couple of stunners; 17lb & 25.5lb Mirrors, check out those autumn colours.
John Cornelius also had two over the weekend; 13lb (no photo) but another biggie at 25.8lb....
With another mild spell on the cards for the weekend, hopefully they've not switched off just yet.
Tight Lines all
We had a good turn out despite some pretty blustery weather for this years Charvil Complex Social.
Ok so not everyone bagged a fish; but two cracking Carp made an appearance.
Dave Burridge 24lb 4oz Common...
John Cornilious 26 4oz Mirror
Great to catch up with a few members; looking forward to the Xmas Social next, maybe on Orrell lake.
Lovely little common for Mick Baglow from Orrell the other weekend; well done to Rich Baglow for taking the pic despite falling in the lake!
Go careful in the swims when the wooden boards are wet!
