The support my sons 15 and 12 have had has been amazing we are all finding it really hard as it's only been 5 months since we lost the man of our dreams, my husband and their dad. He was a massive p...art of our family and it's the hardest thing we will ever have to do as a family.
Cbuk have put lots of coping techniques into place for us and we're still working through it.
I've met some lovely people in support group for parents and listening to other people who are going through the same pain is comforting.
I couldn't thank them enough.
Even organising a dash for dads the boys enjoyed

We were referred to CBUK by my son's primary School; his behaviour had changed dramatically after his nan died. We were caught up in our own grief and trying to shelter him from the pain (or so we tho...ught) that we didn't see what was happening. He opened up to a CB UK counsellor about his grief and said that he couldn't express himself at home because he didn't want to upset us even more :( Through CBUK we learnt how to communicate as a family, how to enable him to express his emotions, how to manage our own grief and the importance of remembering our loved one. I can honestly say we would not have been able to get through it without their support! See More

I have just read the article in "You" magazine about Julia Samuel and it reminded me of the support myself and my family received after the loss of our beloved Rosie 23 yrs ago, from Jenni. The days we...re dark but Jenni helped me reason my grief and now I live with it alongside me - part of who I am today. For any family living with loss I strongly recommend you cry, laugh and talk your feelings through with the trust x one day when work and life isn't so hectic I will repay my gratitude with being a volunteer x See More
