Love this place, quite comfortable and performances are usually above average for community productions and the tickets are sooooo afordable. Great place to introduce young people to theater.

Tiny space, but ..... OHHHHH ... what they do in it! I attended the matinee of "Next to Normal" and immediately noticed a clever set design. The lighting was well done, and the acting was quite good. ...By intermission, I was set to rave about the performance on FB because the cast was strong, the plot was touching, and the musical talent was outstanding.

Shortly into the 2nd half, the power went out. Didn't come back on. The cast & director decided to finish the show with natural light & no soundtrack. And they blew us away. Acapella performance hardly suffered from not having a piped score. Entrances & exits were hardly noticeable because the onstage actors gave it their all. Nuanced lines, smooth harmonies, heartwrenching plot twists.

They took a Broadway hit, Pulitzer-prizewinning show and improved it by demonstrating "the show must go on" in a more determined way than I've ever witnessed. So impressed. Absolutely going to catch their summer season!

We are saddened to report that Dan Smith, a beloved member of our CCT family, has passed away at the age of 58. Dan was an integral part of our theater since our humble beginnings at the community building, having performed in numerous productions over the years, including his indelible performances in MURDER AT THE HOWARD JOHNSONS, LAST OF THE RED HOT LOVERS, ALL MY SONS and his final show at CCT, THE NERD. Dan was also an accomplished director (DEATHTRAP, THE SHADOW BOX) ...and most importantly, a dear friend that we will deeply miss. Here is a picture of Dan from his very first show at CCT, and our 2nd production ever, THE PHILADELPHIA STORY in 1985.
When we receive any information on services for Dan we will post them here! In the meantime, please comment with any memories of Dan you'd like to share. What were your favorite Dan Smith performances at CCT?
