It tries all the possible combinations, but unlike the competing products, this one actually knows when it has found the right code, and proudly presents it on it's display.

This is what the temperature sensor looks like when mounted in an iMac.

The new temperature sensors arrived. 15mm square. If you are replacing an Apple hard disk that has three cables going to it with a normal hard disk, then you want to add one of these. The back is adhesive and you stick it to the hard disk. The small plug with the black and the grey wire in it plugs into this board. This way the iMac sees a temperature sensor and can control the fans properly. Without this the fans will run at full speed and the Mac will be noisy.

Our latest product: MacBook A1181 testing tool - power button board
This is a tiny board that plugs into the motherboard of the White/Black MacBook (model A1181, i..e. the non unibody models).

Use this board to easily turn on the Mac with the cover removed.
As the original power button is part of the top case, the machine will not power up without the top case....
Starting is possible by shorting the power pads, but quite a hassle and dangerous if you tough something wrong by accident.
This board plugs into the connector on the motherboard where normally the top case would plug into.

We repair loads of these Macs and made this little tool to make our own life simpler...

Features.
Power button: To turn the Mac on and off without the to case in place
LED: Shows when the Mac is powered ON.
Sensor: Temperature sensor to keep ASD happy in those models where there is a temperature sensor is in the top case. (THRM_DIMM0 in the schematics, Palm Rest Sensor in ASD.)
