  • Operastar Andras Chiriliuc, one of the most glamouros and gifted young Romanian opera singer of today, was born in the Romanian town Suceava on 16-th of August 1983. From early childhood it was obvious that he will become a singer, his destiny was the music. He attended the Music School in Suceava, than Timisoara and graduated from the Timisoara Music Academy, where he studied with the remarkable music teachers Alexandru Moisiuc and Elena Gaja. Andras Chiriliuc’s magnificent voice and dazzling stage presence have established him as a unique international young opera star.

    Andras Chiriliuc made his international debut in 2007 at the International Music Center from Moscow with Musica Latina, a special concert realized by the Irina Arkhipova Foundation. It was than that Andras Chiriliuc encountered the legendary Russian opera Diva, Irina Arkhipova, who congratulated him and predicted his future in music. He sang together with the legendary Russian tenor, Vladislav Piavko, Andras Chiriliuc’s Maestro. In the same year he sang in honor of Romania’s entrance in the EU, in a special Concert Gala in Moscow, for more than 80 Ambassadors, members of the Russian Federation Government and Presidential Administration.

    Andras Chiriliuc also performed at the opening of the Joseph Schmidt Auditorium in Suceava (2007).

    Among major appearances in the last three years were the much acclaimed concerts wich Andras Chiriliuc gave in Bucharest, Moscow, Czernowitz, Dubna, Paris, Milan, Lille, Bruxelles, Copenhagen, Roma, Athens, Prague, Madrid, Budapest, London, Graz, Wienn, Berlin, Suceava etc.

    He sang on different occasions for HRH Prince Paul of Romania.

    In February 2010 he triumphed with Tango Emocion at the Bucharest National Opera House, a new production of the Bucharest National Opera House written by Oana Andra and dedicated to Andras Chiriliuc featuring Oana Andra and Andras Chiriliuc.

    All these performances and recitals have confirmed Andras Chiriliuc’s status as one of the most beloved young stars of opera.

    Andras Chiriliuc has collaborated with prestigious opera directors and conductors of our time and has sung with important opera singers.

    Future engagements include various concerts, as well as performances of Tango Emocion, Tosti per due, Madama Butterfly, I Pagliacci, Carmen, etc. at the Bucharest National Opera House as well as abroad.

    In future, he will also appear in Don Pasquale, Don Giovanni, Le Nozze di Figaro, Cosi fan Tutte, Hansel und Gretel, L’Elisir d’amore etc.

    Mr. Chiriliuc was honoured with the 110 Aniversary Medal of the History Museum from Suceava, and he was appointed an Honorary President of the Suceava Students Society and Suceava Photographic Artists Association.

    Mr. Chiriliuc is President of the Joseph Schmidt Association, President of the Andras Chiriliuc Association, President of the Romanian Musicians Union, Vice President of the Bucovina Theatre Company, Member in the Presidium of the Irina Arkhipova Foundation and of the Musicians World Union, Artistic Director of the Suceava Theatre Company and of the Suceava Choir Company. Mr. Andras Chiriliuc is also Teaching Assistant Phd. at the University of Suceava.
