Citizens' Climate Lobby is an awesome organization! I lobbied on the Hill for 20 years and still learned some new things from CCL on how to do it effectively. At CCL progressives and conservatives w...ork together very well - because we focus on leaving our kids a livable world! At its our core CCL is a group dedicated to democracy. Dedicated to building the human relationships that enrich our lives and ensure we pass on that same democracy, and liveable world, that we inherited, to not just the next generation but every generation to come. This organization brought hope to me that climate solutions are not only possible, but good for our country. It can sometimes be discouraging, but it is so important to share the work, the occasional ...disappointments, the love for this creation, and the hope that we will make a difference for our children and all the people and things that we love. I send my love and respect to all my fellow hard-working climate patriots. This work matters and it is the right thing to do. May we preserve this great and beautiful country and this amazing, awe-inspiring creation that we all live on. So let it be. See More

CCL is about WHAT we need right now--productive climate solutions--and HOW we need it--simple, effective, bi-partisan, fair. And CCLers, they are the icing on the cake: approaching our cause with resp...ect, understanding, and friendliness, (we aim to be like Canadians)! See More

Efficient, respectful, honest, cheerful, intelligent, no anger - it's the best approach to addressing climate change. It is surely also the good cop to endless other groups' bad cop approach.

To date I have been writing many newspaper Op-Eds about global warming climate change that potentially can reach 300,000 Montanans. Recently I attended a Citizens' Climate Lobby rally in Columbia Fal...ls, Montana that US Senator Jon Tester attended, along with Rita Rozier from the Bozeman, Montana chapter who garnered nearly 100 signatures in 2 hours. I am a retired aerospace engineer who now studies grizzly bears and climate change near Glacier National Park and the Great Bear Wilderness Area. I am a researcher and writer, but not an organizer, fundraiser, or public speaker. How can I get involved with your organization here in Flathead County, Montana? Is there a way for me to post what I have written on your website? See More

Before Al Gore there was a national scare that the earth was getting colder. Pictures on the cover of TIME magazine of the world covered in ice. We were scared to death. Fact is we did have a slight d...ownturn of temperature during the late forties. Alas the so called "experts' were dead wrong. Then came Al Gore. in his book , he predicted dire climate changes (polar caps disappearing, sweeping weather changes, rising seas, etc. None of this is happening. What is happening is a slow increase in temperatures that has been going up as a natural process since the 1500.at the rate of around 1.5 degrees per year. The issue is carbon. and the supposed culprit C02. Our politicians would love to tax carbon, one of the most common elements in the world. There are two sides to every issue. I take the side of the 35000 scientist and engineer types in the USA, who have signed a statement that is contrary to myth of dangerous global warming. See More

I am so grateful to be a part of this organization! Who would have thought I'd be meeting with members of Congress? CCL's methods and values are inspiring and empowering, and they give me hope that ...we can and will pass carbon fee and dividend legislation, which will have a profound positive impact on the future of our planet. Those who suggest that the climate is either not changing, or is changing naturally without requiring that human behavioral changes, or that those behavioral changes can be done without destroying the... economy are missing one of the greatest opportunities this century for improving our world and our own prosperity. Thank you CCL for refusing to be daunted by these naysayers and deniers. Thank you for offering optimistic and reasonable solutions that address this crisis. Proud to support you! See More

Climate change can feel like a big, overwhelming challenge---but Americans have never backed down from big challenges. We may not have completely solved every issue, but we've made huge, positive changes over the course of our history. Today, we are launching a video to remind us of that. It's called Undo Your Part.

Undo Your Part was created to inspire those who are alarmed about #climatechange but haven’t taken action yet. Maybe they feel hopeless or aren't sure what to do. With this video, and your #UndoYourPart posts, we'll inspire our fellow Americans to believe that if we work together, we can solve this.

Please WATCH and SHARE this video and don't forget the hashtag: #UndoYourPart!

Climate change impacts are happening now. In the United States.

For the community of Jean Lafitte, the question is less whether it will succumb to the sea than when — and how much the public should invest in artificially extending its life.
