I'm a regular listener to the 'Childcare Bar & Grill' podcast with Jeff Johnson, so it was nice to get a couple of mentions in the latest episode. Jeff had found an advertisement for a "curated set of loose parts" for $265 and with Li...sa Murphy, AKA Ooey Gooey, Inc, there is an excellent little conversation around loose parts in general but the idea of curating paid loose parts in particular. Lisa mentions that for some, loose parts have become part of the 'I've done that' tick box; Jeff talks about how educators can become 'precious' over their materials because they have monetary value.
