Do you think the Palasczuzk government with just 52% majority should be allowed to shut down the economy like it has in Queensland?
I think, in the next Parliament, if we ever have reason to shut down the economy like has just happened, then a bill must be presented to Parliament where it is discussed, explored and debated; with ALL the facts on the table; the politics is removed from it as this is now a very serious decision with significant economic ramifications. it must g…o to a vote and it must secure 75% of Parliament to vote in favour of shutting down the economy.
This is far too serious a decision to leave in the hands of the government with just 52% majority in Parliament.
A vote of 75% will quarantine the decision from grand standing and will give legitimacy to the decision to shut down the economy.
