I'm gonna do my best to quote him. It's, not exact, so forgive me, but he says alright. Well Mark or well mister President you know she got some rules that you love and some rules that you don't love mister President sometimes you just have to learn love the rules that you don't like, because they're just rules and that's what you got a deal. It, like what is talking out of both sides and smile at the same time very impressive and he goes on this whole thing about rules that you love at rules But you don't love and rules that you, gotta like, that you don't like and it's just political double speak, the worst time down in a very smooth, friendly smiling way and at the end the President and can tell he's kind of frustrated but you still smiling. He looks it goes so Peter, you saying you, like this rule guys up to retire out that nothing Committee chairs after six years. It sounds like you saying you, like, and it goes all I'm not saying that mister President just saying you know you gotta build watch. You would not give a direct answer, not a direct answer. You gotta ask about uh Ryan retiring and what about Speaker retiring and trump's that I would have preferred. They stick around and not retire until after the election and then he could retired could help special election in his district. Would been better for the party. I think, and again sessions no answer. He couldn't answer the best known answers I've ever heard in my life, like he's perfect for playing politicians. You he said, well, I most respect for Speaker Ryan and I'm sure you have the best intentions for the people in his district than as to whether you should be done man. You know, people have to make their own call. I mean he would not give an answer No answer truck last it's really clear to me. I was watching trump and I will see the guy who's used to being a ceo and, as a ceo, ask people these kinds of questions in a board room or business meeting and and, if they work from they have answer or you can say you're fire right we've. All seen that a hundred times and here is now dealing with the slippery creatures in Congress that refused to give a straight answer any imagine him in his office and I think it oh my gosh. What I got myself into his. I honestly think it realize how slippery the States, for it is own part so I saw that punches discussions Most interesting discussion people started asking questions right so you can imagine what was I get asked when I was gonna introduce convention States and I can't win here we kinda raise my hand trying to get the attention of the President is actually running a Daniel who was calling on people they don't call me the cold on all the big donors that were sitting really close to him uh. They ask about trying to trade. This was the most interesting thing the president's very firm and I got I personally very in command of the facts, very letter it's about ways talking about And he's talk about Chinese that has been reckless offer for years and post 50 billion in terrorist and they punished our farmers and return that was not cool and he said so. I post another hundred billion and terrace in our hundred and 50 billion and now they said we wanna talk there's, something friendly with me that's certainly willing to protect our intellectual property at least they stay Sony here at were about 500 billion year upside down time and so I've been posting hundred 50 billion in terms that means 300 and 50 billion to work with and he said, and I promise you, I We'll use every single penny because I'm gonna break this the because there's no way we can afford to keep losing to the Chinese we've rebuilt our bridges, their highways. There's a clear command of the facts and the economic surrounding all the stuff is opinion different than some people, but he is very firm in his convictions and I was really impressed by what I talk about a few other subjects in case of thing wraps up and I start to panic because now I'm there I got a donor or something every once gonna talk about convention is days most importantly, to me is I'm there representing you guys and that's my job right and I'm thinking I can't Go here and not talk to the President about convention says how can I get this close. I'm gonna be in the room with him sitting at the same table and not get the chance to talk to, but they say it's time for the President to go is got another room for people like us that he's gonna be an is gonna move along so that secret service gets them up and starts to move long and I'm thinking I can't let this happen so when I did is, I just ran behind him and tackled no I'm just kidding. I didn't different uh, but I was tempted to do that is back turn me. I would have a clean shot I'm sure I could talk to men right so, for maybe got dragged secret service been the name is Commission States to duck by then do Catch so here's what I did. Instead of this pitching and then I said I love him to away endorses our project, called the convention of States project Working all article five convention to take the power away from Washington dc get back to people just like what you're trying to do and he said that's great nice to meet you check my hand again and hangout with the way so it's like mister Smith goes to Washington right the redneck from northern California from the Hills ends up in front of the President. I did my best of kitchen. Does anything come out of that. I don't know, like when you went home, that night and he told me I met this great guy who puts me like incidents tickets. I'm proud to be there representing you guys and I tell you, the most important thing that I can tell you about that whole interaction. I got to meet the President that's a pretty cool thing, but I am being honest with you guys when I tell you if I had my choice I'm hanging out with the bunch of you guys in a pizza joint somewhere eating pizza and talking about how we're gonna convention States passed in your state or talking about your kids are talking about our faith. I would Other do that than be with the President, marlow and I don't say that I don't want to sound disrespectful. I don't wanna sound, like. I don't appreciate the opportunity was an incredible opportunity on your. I just want you to know and honestly rather hang out with you guys. It was cool to meet the President. I guess it's something you can check off your bucket list, but the way I see the President is the President got elected because people like you and me voting for he's just the President that means he represents us he's not there, because he is something special So these their because you guys are something special is there because 62 million people like us, decided we're sick and tired of the way things are going and we wanted something that disrupted so when I have a chance to be with the President. What I'm thinking up is how incredible it is that a guy that's this much of it disrupt others was able to kick the table over and walk into the light House. I think that's pretty cool, but I don't think it's about him and appreciate what you did and I think it's is skill set. They got him elected, but it didn't happen without you guys It's rising time is movement and that's why you guys for a percent that's what so cool to me about what I do when I get to meet the President or running back Daniel or Todd Rick, is remember it is a meeting them on your behalf and I hope you guys get that for me. I'm not meeting them for me I'm really not.
