We're on the road again! Last night we heard from the inspirational people of Bulga, the town that refuses to die.
This morning John took us to check out the massive Rio Tinto coal mine that is threatening to expand to Bulga's doorstep, just 2km from the village, all with the help of the NSW govt. #coalruption
We're in Bulga!! "What we want to find out is who has been driving the government to make these laws?" "Coal mining provides only a small amount of employment in the Hunter but is the only industry that has sway to destroy the land and steal the water." - John Krey local resident! #coalruption
Enthusiastic and soggy team of supporters waving off the Convoy Against Coalruption in Sydney outside NSW Parliament House. Thanks everyone, especially MP Mehreen Faruqi from the Greens.
We're on the road, stay tuned for updates!
If you can't make it to Maules Creek this weekend, then please join Greens MP Dr Mahreen Faruqi on the steps of NSW Parliament tomorrow to wave off the Convoy Against Coalruption.
We've tried petitions and protesting. Now 100 Sydneysiders are heading to the #leardblockade in a show of people power!
