A perfect close to a Thursday afternoon includes this respite of localism where Michigan meets the Lodge. Pick up some made fresh bagels with Ethiopian lentil spread. I like to sit and listen to live ...folk music there while eating a hand made ice cream sandwich--mint chocolate chip is my favorite. Acre farms has hard to find vegetables, like Shisito peppers or choke cherries when in season. Ryan threw in some complimentary red peppers when I bought garlic and eggplant. My fingers are still tingling from the concentrated Corktown sun. Brother Nature specializes in spicy field greens--mustard greens, purslane, or arugula for example. Count on Fisheye Farms for baby tomatoes. See More

I love that this market falls on a Thursday, giving you a mid-week opportunity to grab fresh produce and pig out on a roll of cookie dough from What Up Dough... Don't try and tell me you don't pig out... on a roll of cookie dough every now and then, please. Overall, friendly faces, great selection, much to be loved. ♥ See More
