Each year, young adults living at HOPEhouse plan a trip to take place in the spring. The trip planning process incorporates skills that are being developed and honed through the HOPEhouse program, and results in an exciting, bonding experience for everyone involved. This year's trip involved taking in the sights, landmarks, and visiting hot spots in the great state of Vermont! #HOPEhouse2017

The Home Depot Workshop Team recently came to Cotting School to offer a hands-on, interactive workshop to students in Ms. Hennessey's and Ms. Lancione's classes. Students created their own rain gauges from scratch and were very satisfied with their finished projects. Thank you to the entire Home Depot Workshop Team!

Sarah Hay-Smith, a graduate of the Lesley University Threshold Program, and a preschool assistant teacher at The Learning Circle in Somerville, came to Cotting to make a presentation to a group of Upper School students interested in Sarah's work experience and and how it might apply to their own interests. Justin has been working diligently with our IT Systems Engineer here at Cotting School, during his in-house job assignment, to refurbish and deploy desktop computers. He says it was very satisfying to work on the computers and to deliver them to where they will be used by Cotting students! Nice work, Justin!

Our first annual Cotting School Transition Fair was an incredible success! We had a fantastic turnout, informative presentations, exhibitors, and vendors all focused on transition planning. We were thrilled to have so many students volunteer, and take part in transition activities. It was great to see Cotting alums and to hear about their experiences on student and parent panel discussions. A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this experience such a positive one for the Cotting community. #CottingTransition2017
