A great way to spend a Saturday, even managed to wear out our 5 year old.
The organisers couldn't have been more helpful in answering questions on Facebook before the event, plus were very welcoming a...nd helpful.

Regardless of whether you have played very few or many tabletop games, Counters is a wonderful excuse to meet other gamers, have a laugh and play some new games that you can then add to your wishlist. :)

Can't wait for the next.

I can quite honestly say I've had an awesome day, I would come again in an instant. You chaps and chapettes rock. We played some new games and some old ones and had tonnes of fun. A brilliant selectio...n of games for the grown ups, so many I want to try! And it was so lovely that children were catered for too. You guys were so nice with Ben, and we're really thankful for that. Thanks so much for a great day, we look forward to coming again. See More

Really enjoyed my first visit. Will definitely be long as they promise to have Mousetrap fixed. What can I say? Mousetrap can get quite competitive :-)

This is how it's all going down today at counters! If you're in the Merthyr area what not pop by and say hello? #Tabletopday
Here's how to find us at Hwyl Hub.
If you're still yet to attend one of our events. Take a look at this video to see what we get up to

Don't forget everyone Dragondaze is less than two weeks away, we will be there providing a massive amount of board gaming fun so come along and support this great event all in the name of Barnardo's and Sparkle.

Come and pay us a visit at Dragondaze, we will once again be running the board game room to help a very worthy cause.

A big thank you to all that attended Dragondaze yesterday and helped raise money for the sparkle and barnardos charities. We had a lot of fun in our (much larger) room and met some really great new people.

Welcome to Dragondaze! Counters is back and ready to open. Last year we said we'd need a bigger room and this time we've got one! Pop down to Newport centre kingsway and support our charities sparkle and barnardo's.

Dragondaze is nearly upon us, come and support this great Welsh games convention and help raise money for both Barnardos and Sparkle. You can pop into the board game room at any time and we will be there to provide the usual Counters game experience, there will also be plenty of cos players wandering the centre, roleplaying, larping and wargaming on offer as well as a huge raffle, bring and buy and merchant stalls. This is an event not to be missed.

Stop by the Newport Centre on the 17th September for what will be a fantastic event.

Win yourself four free tickets to Dragondaze where we will be hosting the board game room for the third year running.

Hi Everyone,

Despite our best efforts unfortunately we are unable to provide a date for Counters this summer. Our next event will be held at Dragondaze in the Newport Centre on September 17th. We will be looking at providing a schedule of events to begin take place shortly afterwards.

Apologies for the larger than usual gap between events, we look forward to bringing Counters back to the valleys as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience.

We look forward to seeing you all at our event later, not long now until we kick off and the gaming can begin. What a great way to spend the day when the sun has hidden behind the clouds.

We have free parking available at Pontypridd Museum this Saturday while there is available space. The car park is accessible from the rear of the building. If the car park ends up being full then we would recommend the multi story car park opposite.

We have also added the first expansion "On The Brink" to the Counters favourite Pandemic. Adding much more variety as well as difficulty with an extra epidemic card and new virulent strain epidemic cards which add new wrinkles as they appear in the deck.

Come down to Pontypridd Museum on Saturday June 11th and give it a try.

We have some great new games hitting the shelves and hopefully the tables for our event this Saturday. We have the tile laying game Cacao, fun family games Adventure Land and Spookies, Madame Ching and the 2 player only Sun Tzu.

All this and our usual collection will be available to play at Pontypridd Museum this Saturday. Come down, have some drinks and snacks and most importantly enjoy some fun games.

All day board gaming once again arrives in Pontypridd as Counters takes over the Pontypridd Museum. Come along and join in the fun as we offer up our selection of 100s of board games along with drinks and snacks for you to enjoy.

We are going to have our very own Museum for the day on the 11th June. Let's hope we don't awaken some unspeakable form of Eldritch Evil.
