Good idea or gone too far?

Heckling referees is practically a tradition in any sport, but South Carolina youth soccer officials feel it's gone too far.

Hard to be a Marylander these days and not be thinking about college lacrosse!

Between the University of Maryland men's and women's teams winning Big Ten cham...pionships and earning #1 seeds in the NCAAs, Towson University capturing yet another Colonial Athletic Association title and heading into the NCAAs, and Salisbury University earning yet another #1 NCAA tournament seed as it goes for a 12th national championship, the State of Maryland is, once again, the center of the lax universe.

So I was thrilled to visit Towson last week to present my "Bright Lights Award" for innovation and entrepreneurship to Greg and Mike Kenneally of East Coast Dyes. This local business sells lacrosse mesh to retailers for sale around the world, and has created nearly two dozen good-paying, family supporting jobs in the process.

Fitting that a business like this is shooting and scoring in this marketplace right here in Maryland! Congratulations, Greg and Mike, for your hard work and success!
