On September 30, five hopeful startups competed for the opportunity to represent Jamaica in the Creative Business Cup. For some, it was their first time pitching their startup in this way. Our founder Bianca Welds and Alexia James, COO of UCA Jamaica (winners of the Creative Business Cup Jamaica 2017) are in Copenhagen, Denmark for the CBC Global Finals. Following a two-day bootcamp, Alexia pitched this afternoon and the response from mentors and fellow participants has been positive.

Tomorrow morning the 12 semi-finalists will be announced and then pitch. The top 5 will pitch in the afternoon for the honour of being selected the world's best creative startup.
