Hi Mark Karen We're here at J D 's Bar and Grill in Wakanda in Lake County Right to Life is having their Christmas party tonight and happy holidays to everyone out there. so back in 2006 2010 2014 and 2018. I was endorsed by the Lake County Right to Life and I'm I'm proud to have had that support all these years. One of the things I wanna talk about tonight in in tonight's current events. It's one of my opponents is attacking me. In an untruthful way, let's bring up a couple of the comments that she's making specifically, she is saying that If you will that I somebody that is not it was I'm a hardcore Democrat and that I was only switched parties in 2018. Secondly, she's saying that I have sustained for our President and that thirdly she talks about my time as sheriff and says that I have there was a. Against me a no confidence vote by some of the employees and tries to take a taxi at my record on that. So what I'd say is a couple things one is as far as being a Republican. Yes, I've been in. I was a Democrat at one time going way back, but I was endorsed by the right to life back as a Democrat in 2006, I've been consistently pro-life. I've had consistently the same world view all these years and I ran as a Republican in 1014 and 18. I had the highest percentage of any Republican in Lake County all those cycles. so. A well-liked Republican this person that makes these accusations in these comments by the way this person voted for Barack Obama not once, but twice, and you think about that. How can anybody vote for a President or a candidate that point in time, That was a sponsor of the infant Born Alive Act or no treatment would be allowed to to that baby is laid on the table, A candidate Obama at that time that hangout with theirs and Jeremy right and preach the message of socialism, a candidate at that time that was. A legislation that would take hand guns away from all Illinois citizens. This is the candidate that we're talking about the wants to attack me that has has a long history of supporting something that that is very very bad for us Republicans as we know so she goes on and say that I have to stand for the President and what he had you. What I will say is that I have criticized the President in the past and I'm not gonna deny that. but by the same token, I'm the only one out. The candidates in this race that can say they publicly endorsed Donald Trump back in 2016. I endorsed him in 2020. I'm all in I stand with Donald Trump and I'll defend Donald Trump. this candidate. that says that about me is obviously lied about me and she also lies about herself. She said that she was a she voted for Donald Trump in the primary Saint Clair County government records show she did not vote in that primary. She said that she was a circular. Donald Trump in 2016 Saint Clair County government records show that she was not a circulator for Donald Trump as well. So who is she. We know that she criticized Donald Trump right on the heels of the election. so she's clearly not who she pretends to be thirdly. She criticizes me about the office. Let me say something I hit 700 employees almost I had eight different unions. I held the line on spending 12 years in a. I was under budget, I dealt with those unions and I was the guy that they had to make the tough decisions and say what we could afford and what we could not afford on the other hand. She's somebody that you know you hate to bring up personal Problems and what have you, but she said three foreclosures that we know of, according to Saint Clair County government record. She has no history of showing any sound financial management and is not somebody that we would want for the United States Senate quite frankly, so the other thing that she beats me up on often times is illegal. immigrants is what she talks about and what I would say with regards to the ads is that you know, I have been somebody that that's believed that we need. A bill that supports comprehensive immigration reform, but I'm somebody that has done so in a respectful manner and made those arguments this candidate on the other hand, There's somebody that you know he calls Black Lives Matter effort offers and she doesn't use the abbreviation. She uploads the videos and clearly uses this profanity with regards to them, she said. Horrible things about Latinos. you know they're illegal immigrants that are. And they are God's people. you know we need a solution and some of them should be deported, but by the same token we don't talk about them that way you know. Lastly, you know she's out there taking pictures of her husband with a woman and I'm not gonna show you the picture but a naked from the breast down from the top down with Confederate flags all over breast and she says that she proudly takes the picture for his Bank Bank and you know I don't mean to be graphic folks. but that's what we're dealing with. It is a candidate that would not be good for for Illinois. It's not something that's gonna play well come next November that somebody that would be very destructive to the entire party.
