Veterans Day is next Tuesday and I am the guest speaker at the American Legion Post 42 Veterans Day ceremony. It starts at 11AM and everyone is invited to attend. The post is located behind Hobby Lobby on MLK Dr. in Cartersville. I promise to not be long winded (for the first time in my life). Please join me in celebrating and honoring those who swore to protect us and who served their country with pride and grace.

To all of our cycling friends and supporters, I have some very sad news to share with you this morning. One of our drivers during our bicycle ride across America it was Donald Masters. Donald lost his son on October 31. Please be in prayer for his family during this time of mourning. Thank you and God bless you.

I have just been challenged to the ALS ice bucket challenge. I will complete it on Saturday and then challenge three people to also do it. Good luck to those who I challenge!!!!

Well, the presentation at Georgia War Veterans Home was very special! I thought you would enjoy seeing the wheelchair ramp. Next week it's off to San Francisco to present a true American hero and wounded warrior with his new 3 wheeled trike.

On February 22 we will be presenting a custom built wheelchair ramp to the Georgia War Veterans Hone in Milledgeville, Georgia. This gift is a direct result of the generous gifts that friends and supporters donated during our bicycle ride across America. We are humbled to be giving this gift to those American heroes! In March we will be gifting a special gift to a Wounded Warrior who we met in San Antonio. Please continue to pray for us as we do our best to help veterans. God Bless all of you.

As we wrap up this year I would like to take this time to thank everyone for their support of Cycling for Warriors in 2013. It was a magical year to help veterans. We will be delivering a custom-built three wheel bicycle to a veteran in California sometime at the end of January. We are also having a portable wheelchair ramp built for the Georgia War Veterans Home. God bless you and happy new year.

"2,565.08" That's how many miles my formally fat rear-end pedaled with my brother Steve to get from San Diego to Jacksonville in 54 days! I will update the blog at before the weekend is through with a final posting of photos and information about the last 2 days. Thanks again for all the prayers, donations and caring that all of you did during the last 2 months. I have been humbled (very difficult thing for me) by your support. God protected us and blessed us and so He gets all the praise. Thank you!

Mission accomplished. Atlantic Ocean 9:02 AM!!

For those interested: We are finishing our "Cycling for Warriors" bicycle ride tomorrow morning at Atlantic Beach at 9AM. We will enter the beach directly at the end of Atlantic Blvd. See you there!

Alright folks. We have arrived in Jacksonville, FL! Officially we are making a ride tomorrow morning from the Mayport Ferry Landing to Atlantic Beach where we will put our wheels in the Atlantic Ocean and finish the "Epic Ride Across America for Veterans and their Families". Words cannot describe how I feel towards all of you who have supported us. I'll update the website later tonight with some info and pics of today. I'm humbled by your loyalty to this cause and your willingness to put up with a million postings and updates from me over the last 2 months. God Bless all of you and please don't think our bike ride ends our efforts to lift up veterans. There is a bigger event in the makings as we speak. Shhhhhh, don't tell anyone. God Bless.

It is pouring down rain upon us near Fernandina Beach Florida! If it was easy everybody would ride bicycles across America!
