The magnificent 'I don't want this love' video unleashed on the public for the very first time! Filmed during the late Spring of 1988 in Canvey Island, Essex and directed by Mark Nunneley and Simon Evan-Jones, both of whom went on to work for Ridley Scott films, it gives a real snapshot of the era. Who would know that on the way there, we were involved in a 3 car pile up, writing James' Peugeot off in the process? What professionals!!! Apologies for the 10 seconds of nothingness at 2:24, 10 seconds of video that didn't quite make it!...
Anybody fancy bagging a bargain?...😀
Nice to see us in the Canvey Island archive..
Really sad to hear of the passing of good friend to the band, Gary Raymond. Always a character and happy to champion our cause in any way he could, he'll be missed by many. See you down the road...😥
From the vaults! DIY artwork for the then unknown beat combo Illicit Kiss. Note that we had a good run of club gigs in W1, notably Le Beat Route, where we were to support Curiosity Killed The Cat (whatever happened to them?) and Dover St Wine Bar, who mistakenly assumed we were a jazz band on the basis that we had a sax player!
Die hard DTAT fans know that it all stared with Illicit Kiss. It's like The Quarrymen to The Beatles, Jackson 5 to Michael Jackson. Anyway, here we are posing in Docklands (with drummer Michael Winstone) and here's our first ever review: 'we could be hearing them on vinyl pretty soon'!
