Went there today food was cold french fries were cold and hard paided extra for cheese on fried cheese was watery. Egg roll was cold. I think they make food too much ahead of time and it's cold. I'm g...oing to start looking elsewhere. Even better cook at home quality in these places are no longer worth my Money. And the worker at did not care that I was not satisfied. See More

If you actually read the Metro article, it's about a bust that happened 11 years ago on an unnamed West Philly restaurant that has since closed. I don't know how you guys are getting that that this p...lace serves cats. It seems like negative Asian stereotyping, and this small business is the victim.

Check it yourself on metro's website, article "Eating dogs and cats would be banned if bill passes state Senate" By Tommy Rowan, December 2, 2013

How can people be on here giving the thumbs up knowing they serve cat on the menu?

In a December 3 article in Metro U.S Philadelphia, George Bengal, director of law enforcement for the Pennsylvania S...PCA, went into a West Philadelphia restaurant and was forced to face a cat lover’s worst nightmare. Although he won’t give the name of the restaurant, Bengal brought down a restaurant serving cat and rescued more than 50 cats chained in the basement. When he went in with a warrant, Bengal found someone in the basement actually butchering the cats to serve as a delicacy. See More

I have been there before with my mother, at least every day of the week. When I go there again, I hope to try the General Tso's Chicken, in which it is hot and spicy.

Ordered food from here on Friday and there was a worm in it. When I returned to the store with the food and asked for a refund they gave me a hard time and told me not to come back in the store.

I wanted to let you know about a very special film that will be playing at Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival on Nov 8th (Venue: International House of Philadelphia, 3701 Chestnut Street, Phila...delphia, PA 19104)

SHANGHAI CALLING is a romantic/caper comedy about an Asian American's adventure in contemporary Shanghai! It features heartthrob Daniel Henney as a Chinese-American lawyer who is sent to Shanghai to open up a satellite office. Unfortunately, he does not speak Chinese; fortunately, his "relocation specialist", an "all-American girl" from the Midwest, does. How she and others help him get his bearings in the unfamiliar but spectacular city is the journey you will take with this movie.

Festival audiences around the world have been wowed by the film. They say it is extremely refreshing -- for its vibrant locations, cross-cultural humor, and nuanced insights into China's changing role in today's world. We have won oodles of awards.
VARIETY gave us a rave review, and says SHANGHAI CALLING is "irresistibly chic", with "beguiling humor."

Feel free to check out the trailer, and see other news and updates:

The best wings I've ever had. I love the fact that they're ready when you walk in. I don't trust the other Chinese restaurants around here, I've never had a problem with them.

The difference of food culture between Chinese and Western count
The main difference between Chinese and Western eating habits is that unlike the West, where everyone has their own plate of food, in China the dishes are placed on the table and everybody shares. If you are being treated by a Chinese host, be prepared for a ton of food. Chinese are very proud of their culture of food and will do their best to give you a taste of many different types of cuisine. Among friends, t...hey will just order enough for the people there. If they are taking somebody out for dinner and the relationship is polite to semi-polite, then they will usually order one more dish than the number of guests (e.g. four people, five dishes). If it is a business dinner or a very formal occasion, there is likely to be a huge amount of food that will be impossible to finish.

LITTLE-KNOWN HISTORICAL FACTS ABOUT AMERICAN CHINESE FOOD
It started in California
The foundations for what we know as Chinese food were laid in the mid-1800s, when a huge influx of Chinese immigrants came to California during the Gold Rush, mostly from Canton (today known as Guangzhou). The newcomers started opening restaurants, and eventually began settling elsewhere thanks to the railroad expansion. That resulted in the establishment of Chinatowns all over the place (never forget, Jack Nicholson!).
