Ramen here is a more lighter version then most people will be used too. The meats are also mainly chicken not pork, not bad but broth has barely any flavor. Not my preferred choice but its good for what it is.

Very flavorful. Cute small space. We sat at the counter so we could watch them preparing the orders. We are used to having a pork based ramen but the chicken was very good.

I loved this place and it's authenticity. I'm not a ramen "expert", but my dish was exactly what I was looking for. It's a tiny place, but that's what makes the experience!

Ordered the chilled ramen ... first time ever and it was great! I live in Los Angeles and have never seen that before. Austin's Daruma Ramen is terrific - funky atmosphere, too!

Dropped in here on a whim while visiting from Dallas. Great atmosphere, good vibes from the crew. Killer Shoyu Ramen and liked the Chicken overall. If you live in Austin, you should go here.

Well, that was unpleasant. Came in with my husband 5:30 pm Sunday, took two end seats of a communal table. Apparently some anime convention is in town so the pl...ace was busier than normal for that time. After 15 minute wait, waiter comes to take our order. I ordered one bowl of veg ramen, and was told by waiter that we can't occupy two seats if only one of us is ordering, because there was a party of 5 or 6 waiting for a table (walked in after us). We asked if he could just have some tea, but was told no. The waiter was rushing and clearly didn't want to deal with this. My husband asked if he should give up the seat, and the waiter said "Yeah, would you mind?" So I waited for my ramen alone while my husband waited in the car. Since no single diner walked in in the half hour I was there (surprise!), I ended up rushing through my entire meal next to an empty stool. Stool was empty while I waited, while I ate, when i paid and walked out. The whole experience was weirdly insulting and completely awkward. We live in the neighborhood and come in at least 2-3 times a month, and have shared a bowl of ramen before with no problems, but we won't be coming back anymore. You're a ramen joint, Daruma, not Jeffrey's. And you just lost two long time customers with that attitude. عرض المزيد

I have a couple coworkers from our NYC office visiting and took them for lunch at Daruma. Upon the recommendation from the waitress, one got the Shio and the ot...her had the Miso. And they were impressed! Daruma is such a cool shop and the food is fantastic, I was not expecting New Yorkers to be impressed. Love showing this little corner of Austin to out-of-towners! عرض المزيد

Absolutely amazing in every way. Service was super sweet and fast- I didn't think I was going to finish my soup but I ate everything to the last drop cause it t...urned out to be just that good. Only complaint I have is I wish they delivered....all the way to Corpus Christi.. .lolol! Can't wait to go back again! عرض المزيد

I've always had an excellent experience at Daruma. The community tables make for a nice, close-knit feel that is a far cry from the typical American dining experience. Five stars for great food, great company, and personality.
