Thank you, mister President, I, wanna thank my colleagues for supporting this told payer protection act. You know, in the New York state you can go from the tappan z bridge drive on 95 all the way to Boston before paying another told, but if you wanna drive from rockland County down to long island you're, gonna pay told after toll after told uh that's why we've got to make sure that we leave no stone on turn in finding ways to reduce the cost to toll payers and the told hair protection act that's what this does it makes. It more efficient and there's been cases of We're I've gotten so many calls in my office where people are getting excessive fines because the new cashless towing process we're talking about families with seven thousand eight thousand dollars worth of tolls that they didn't even know about and I'm sorry not just tolls with the fines Associated with them also, what we need to do is streamline the process make sure that people have an option to get notified by text message or email um have a deadline by which the authorities need to notify the told pair that they have an outstanding bill and make sure when they are These excessive fines in place that the told payer has an ability to dispute an to dispute. Those fines online as well as review any records that are in place. That have shown that they have had these fines in place. Um but also we have a system now where you can have your vehicle registration suspended and that's important to make sure that we're going after chronic toll of agers, however, we gotta make sure that people know if your vehicle is gonna be suspended the vehicle registration suspended. What this, what is this legislation will do Is make sure that before someone's vehicle registration is suspended is that there notified by certified mail and then giving the opportunity to pay that fine so they don't lose their vehicle registration looking rockland County. If you lose the right to drive your vehicle, you can lose your livelihood and we don't have the Mass transit options that many within the already have so this is important legislation wanna thank my colleagues for supporting it and this is an effort to streamline the process and make sure we're not digging deeper into the pockets of hard-working new yorkers. Thank you mister President
