Additionally, the AAUW organizers did an amazing job of putting this on. I was honored to be included and, when this pandemic is over, can't wait to meet these wonderful advocates in person. I learned last night that in a typical year, they give scholarships to youn...g people to attend summer camp. Going to a summer camp (Camp Elliott Barker) was a huge part of my childhood and young adulthood; I learned important leadership skills each year. It was my first "real" job in fact, being a wrangler at Camp Elliot Barker. So I hope I can help AAUW keep this fantastic program going in the future in honor of all I learned from the camp I attended!
