    Philippians 4:13

Hi, my name is David Eastman. All the kids on the block call used to call me yeastman but that was just kind of weird. Then they wanted to call me Angry Dave, but they wouldn’t dare do that anymore. I guess they thought I was angry or something, but I WASN’T! GOT IT? I am proud to be an American and I bleed red, white and blue or at least one of those. I have a sweet posse: my main man John, my right hand man John(ny), Taylor the Giant, Matt, Kyle the not-so-giant, Stevo, Mahew, Dom (I guess...) and many others.

So I guess if you’re haven’t fallen asleep yet you still want to know some more about me. Well, I’m about 2 pi feet tall, 155 pounds, all skin and bone. My power animal is the polar bear. My favorite color is green. My favorite food is orange. My favorite shirt is yellow.

I’m not really a talented person. Ninja skills? No. Bo staff skills? No. Gopher chuck skills? ….still no. But I can do stuff like polish, I'm real good at that. You want hand polish, vibratory polish, electropolish I got em all. And that’s pretty cool, right? Yeah I didn’t think so either. I just work hard and eat right with Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes and that seems to make up for my lack of talent.

I’m a big time sports fan. I like to watch football, basketball, soccer, golf, hockey, dodge ball, cricket, arm wrestling, boxing, poker, chess, skee ball, backgammon, cribbage, horse racing, racket ball, croquet, fencing, dog sledding, hacky sack, rock paper scissors, kickball, extreme ironing, ninja warrior, unicycle hockey, badmitton, synchronized swimming, skating, hot dog eating, hamburger eating, chicken wing eating, ping pong, pong ping, roller derby, soccer, archery, rowing, quail hunting, polo, speed walking, speed running, speed racer, toe wrestling, fistball, chessboxing, and of course cheese rolling. My favorite team in any sport is the Detroit Lions of the National Football League. If you’ve ever seen me, you know I’m a Detroit Lions fan if not from my disgusting blue shirts then from my constant gloominess during the NFL season.

My greatest dream, besides to play in the NBA D-League, is to be a great husband and father. My pursuit of a graduate degree at Johns Hopkins is preparing me for this endeavor by teaching me patience and how to function with less sleep. I know that I will never be a true stay at home dad, but I want nothing more than to have a loving family.

I like to stay active myself, you know. I hit up the gym every once in a few months to pump some iron. I can do like 1, maybe 2 pushups on a good day. One day I know I'll look as good as Steve Buscemi from all this hard work. But most of the time I’m out running to stay in shape. Unless of course I see a friend and decide to stop and talk to them because I’m not a dedicated runner, I’m more of a casual runner. I’ll probably keep running until I get bored, or die, whichever comes first. Hopefully it’s the first one.

I have some pretty wicked hobbies, bro. Shaving, vacuuming and cutting grass are probably my favorites. They all have that same philosophy of removing something unwanted and I think that’s pretty rad. You know, gotta separate the wheat from the chaff and what not.

So yeah, I guess my life is pretty lame…except for my fiancée, Veronica, who I absolutely love and adore. She is my muse and inspires me to reach the highest heights of my potential every day. She is funny, beautiful, an incredible athlete and one of the most amazing women I have ever met. She has my heart and I would do anything for her.
