A small town feel, right in the middle of giant ole San Diego. Dehesa has been great for my kiddo. We feel supported as parents. Love our school!

I have 2 currently at Dehesa and one that started there 10 years ago and now in High School . I found this school by chance because I passed it on the way to work one day in 05. The decision to make i...t the school of choice for our kids was easy. The small home town environment of a welcoming staff and the smaller class sizes made it the right choice. My kids love there school and their teachers and we do to. This school does fun and educational field trips throughout the year and a huge picnic on the last day. That is something you will not get at a large inner city school. Dehesa also has a Parents Club (like a PTA) that works diligently all year to raise money for field trip, plan amazing assemblies, organize a Halloween carnival and much more. Every one is welcome to be apart and even have a spot on the governing board. They provide scholarships for the teachers to buy supplies that would otherwise come out of their own pockets. Dehesa school is a good fit for us and maybe you. If your interested don't hesitate to check it out or even stop by and see for yourself. See More

I love the small, country school feel that Dehesa offers for my kids. 19 kids in one class in the 2nd grade class, 11 kids in the 3rd grade kids and 20 kids in the 5th grade class. The personalized at...tention and devotion from each of the teachers make me happy about the choice to have my kids at Dehesa Elementary School. See More

I love Dehesa School and I can still sing "The Hills of Dehesa" which we sang when I attended in 1957. My favorite teacher/principal was Mrs. Stout and she is the reason I have been a teacher for 43 y...ears. She understood things like project-based learning and thematic instruction and common core even then. Best wishes to this years Dehesa graduates. Susan Lancaster See More

Dehesa Road is closed just east of the resort due to a trafficking collision and downed power lines. You are unable to get to the school traveling east currently. Please plan accordingly.
