‪#‎BronzePinkandYOU‬ this month is all about encouraging others to ‪#‎ActGOOD‬. Our Delta Gamma LSU sisters and Baton Rouge Delta Gamma Alumnae Chapter are prime examples of how DGs aren't afraid to "Act Good," no matter the circumstances. We're so proud of how they've jumped in to help neighbors, sisters, family and friends in the wake of the devastating flooding in Baton Rouge. ‪#‎IAmASororityWoman‬

"When you think about organizations of women designed to bolster confidence, provide opportunities for leadership, embrace the power of women with a plan, provide avenues for lifelong friendships – you might assume we’re describing a United Nations program for women entrepreneurs. We’re not. We’re describing sorority." ‪#‎IAmASororityWoman‬

Thank you to former Council member Cori Wallace, Delta Omega-William Woods, for sharing with the world how she is a sorority woman through her work with OmegaFi!

#IAmASororityWoman I have a lot of identities. I am a lot of things. (And so are you.) Very few choices were given to me about who I was, and what I wanted to be, until I got to college. I didn’t choose where I went to high school, (hey Raiders of Shawnee Mission South), didn’t choose my family, cou...

Thank you to Kappa Delta Sorority and the 20+ other organizations who have participated in ‪#‎IAmASororityWoman‬! There's still time: tell us how YOU defy stereotypes and why you are proud to be or know a sorority woman!

I joined Kappa Delta in 2011. I vividly remember telling my mom after freshman orientation that I wanted to join a sorority. My mom believed the negative stereotypes of Greek organizations and was less than enthusiastic about my decision. Nevertheless, I stuck with my plan and registered for recruit...

Our hearts go out to all those in Louisiana who have been dealing with this massive flooding disaster throughout the last few days. It has displaced more than 20,000 people, and there are many DG collegians and alumnae in the Baton Rouge area who have lost everything due to this disaster. Executive Offices has been in contact with sisters in the area, and today, the Baton Rouge Delta Gamma Alumnae Chapter posted the following message for those looking to help:

Throughout the ...day yesterday, the alumnae chapter board began to piece together what is going on and how many sisters have been impacted by the flooding in our area. By our most recent counts, we know of at least 5 alumnae and 4 Delta Gamma LSU collegians who lost everything. Those of us who are not impacted are desperate to help. Here's how:

Provide Information: If you know of DG alumnae or collegians who have been impacted, please consider filling out this form on their behalf. Click here: http://bit.ly/DGupdate

Volunteer: There are several shelters across the area who need your help, including at Celtic Studios and The Baton Rouge River Center.

Donate Items: If you would like to contribute items for sisters, we are accepting donations at the DG house. Items will be taken to local shelters until we know specific needs of DGs from the form listed above. Items needed: clothing, shoes, blankets, pillows, prepackaged food, toiletries, children's items (clothing, shoes, diapers, toys, books), folding chairs, air mattresses, yoga mats, kennels and pet food.
