Always love anything at DMH it’s a fabulous venue and anything from plays, to stand up, to concerts is always fab here. This review however is for how amazingly helpful and kind they were in light of ...the weather we could not make the performance of the nutcracker last night, I was so disappointed as it was for my 3 grandparents Christmas presents , spoke to Jason at the box office who immediately offered us tickets free of charge to swan lake tonight. In the interval it is beautiful and we are very happy to be here. Thank you Jason, Emma who spoke to me over Facebook and DMH! See More

Went to see Squeeze 14th Oct 2017, Can't fault De Montfort Hall venue and parking. However, whether it was to do with our seat position(lower stalls L29/30), the volume was unbearably loud, making it... uncomfortable even with fingers in ears! not helped by inconsiderate guy behind us whistling in my ear and yelling throughout their performance. We did ask to be moved after the support act '9 below zero' and fortunately they were able to move us to the Upper circle where the view was ok but not what we paid for! Even in these seats the volume was tolerable but very distorted, the singing was overwhelmed by the instruments playing. Maybe the sound guys who support these acts should take a little more care to make it pleasurable for all.
p.s. can't fault either act's or De Montfort as a venue.

Waited all week to phone the box office today for the 10am sale for Gary Barlow tickets only to find the booking office had no queue system or voicemail to navigate me through their ticket system. I d...ialled 72 times only to be cut off each time after a few seconds. Absolutely unacceptable. No tickets remaining anywhere today but I would have thought for local fans ( Northamptonshire) this booking office line would put genuine fans first and not ticket touts , when is the mass buying by ticket touts going to stop, it’s so unfair they resell them at anything from three to 19 times times the original cost. I am truly gutted yet again. See More

I was visiting the De Montfort Hall with Whitney Queen of the Night on 29th September. I am the percussionist on the show. The back stage area has to be one of, if not, the smartest I have come acros...s. The hand painted signs in a traditional font were lovely. Very smart clean and fresh dressing rooms and decent shower that worked! Well done to all of the hard working and friendly staff too. I gab a great night! Hope to see you all again soon. See More

Visited for a comedy show. First half I found the seats incredibly uncomfortable and the temperature was ridiculously hot. In an attempt to feel more comfortable before the second half, I moved into of the roughly 100+ empty seats, only to be told that they were 'house seats' and I couldn't sit there in case the management needed to move anyone (100+seats, really!?) The seat I'd moved to was three along from my original seat, not in a different area ie more expensive seats. Being so uncomfortable all evening for no reason spoiled the whole show for me and I'd think about alternative theatres for future events. See More

The facts about Samosa and DMH pathetic ATTITUDE of Manager, assistant Rama and Samosa Sellers resulting in loss of £6.00

I went to see Osman Mir Live concert on 22nd July at 19.30 pm at Demontfort H...all with group of friends.During the break i bought six Samosas from the corridor area where it was sold by two assistants i believe were from Bobbys. On asking the price i was told it is £1.00 per Samosa and which i thought was expensive. Before buying i asked them are we are allowed to take it inside the hall and was informed that yes you can. Therefore i bought 6 samosas for the group. On my way back into the hall i met first attendant on duty (man) who did not say anything and allowed me to proceed into the hall.At the top of stairs door entrance a lady call "Rama" stopped me and another gentleman who was also taking i believe Samosas into the hall.Rama told us that Food is not allowed in the hall and shouted at his fellow assistant why are not stopping them.We both told Rama that two assistants selling it have informed us that we take it into the hall.Rama insisted that it is not allowed even when we informed her that her instructions does not agree with the sellers who are selling inside your premises.Rama was also asked why other people bringing Crisps and drinks are not stopped. Her response was that is food is allowed but the one i was taking is not allowed.
Rama was told i am diabetic and on this occasion i do need to eat.Rama told me speak to the manager.Being forced to return Samosa to the seller in the corridor (believe Bobbys) i had no choice i asked the two seeling assistant why are you misinformation me when we are not allowed to take it inside .No regret no decency to say sorry eithet except a response that "we have just been informed that it is NOT allowed .I was not even offered REFUND.
I went back to my seat leaving box of bought Samosa at the seller table.
After about 5 minutes DMH manager came to my seat and we started talking about misinformation about the issue. He was not interested in sorting the issue inspite of being asked 3 times whose responsibility was it as i needed my refund.
After arguing for nearly 4 to 5 minutes he said to me the show needs to start and walked away knowing full well i needed my refund and i am diabetic.I asked whose responsibility is it to sort this out as you are the manager. He would not reply and take responsibility to get my money refund. It is not about my £6.00 but importantly the attitude of both Manager ,Rama and the seller who i believe was Bobbys assistants.

Went to see beauty and the beast with my daughter and grandson and I must say it was absolutely brilliant! The staff at De Montfort were very friendly and welcoming. The pantomime itself was funny, Sam Bailey was just AMAZING, what a voice! Dick (bogeys) was ace as were the rest of the cast. I would go back again and again to watch this! Thankyou See More

Good venue but I think the people of Leicester should get a week priority of all the music gigs. The staff are very friendly.

Have no fault with De Montfort Hall, venue is very clean, staff are very efficient & organised. They greet you with a smile and are happy to help. Me and my partner were recently there to see Jimmy Ca...rr, had an amazing time. With the recent events, obviously that took extra precautions in security, which I was very impressed with, all the staff and security were very vigilante which left us to go on and enjoy our evening. Thank you to everyone working there :) See More

Went to De Montfort Hall to watch Gangsta Granny with the family. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I felt that the seating was very good and that there were very few seats with a restricted view. I wo...uld definitely go there again to see another show! See More
