In 1964, a group of African-American and White women formed a group to meet regularly to get to know and learn from each other. This was the Civil Rights Era and that Act had been passed in the Summer of '64 after many years of struggle. One of the main reasons for forming this group was to open dialog to see if problems and concerns could be addressed bi-racially and hopefully help smooth the transition from a Jim Crow segregated society to a more integrated one. Hey, gardeners! Wildflower seeds are still available at the Seed Library located inside Emily Fowler Central Library. In the next few weeks, we will swap them out with vegetable seeds, so get them before they're gone!

Starting tomorrow, hoopla digital checkouts will reset at midnight.
That means if you try to check out an item and receive an error notice that the Library lending limit has been met for the day, that limit will reset at midnight each day. (The previous reset time was 7 p.m.)
Personal borrowing limits will also reset at midnight on the first of each month.
