Section 2: Wiring Your Happy And Productive Neurons Together. Shannon explains the theory about how you can be more productive and happier at the same time, when you approach it in the correct way, and how this is more effective toward the goal of living your potential than holding off happiness until everything is perfect.

A dear friend of mine is going through some tough times with overcoming Lyme disease while being dragged through a court battle. If you want to help someone super cool and also look at cute pictures of kitties, I recommend this gofundme campaign:
I've just started a Meetup in San Jose, CA. If you happen to be local, I'd love to see you there!

Voting!! I'm doing a big website overhaul - I'd love your opinion on which of these to choose:
The mind is a part of the body. When your body does not feel healthy, it sends distress signals to the mind. Your mind and body have a feedback loop between them.
As some examples of mind to body - say you are worried about an upcoming deadline. Your worry may cause you to hold your breath, creating a headache. Or it may cause you to tense your shoulders, causing shoulder pain. The worry could lead you to sit and stare at your computer for an exceptionally long time i...n a less than comfortable chair, leading to back pain.
An example of body to mind - Perhaps you ate something that disagreed with you, and it is causing you stomach discomfort. This may invoke fear because you may not immediately know the source of the problem. The fear may lead to anxiety and worry about how long the problem will persist.
In my opinion, it doesn't really matter whether you start with the body or mind in fixing your anxiety problems. Its pretty much a chicken and egg problem - which came first doesn't really matter. My preference is to start with whichever side is easiest for any given client, and to move back and forth as needed.
Google Helpouts has just unleashed their latest development "First Helpout Free." I am thrilled that they are doing this - and I would love to help you with your career and anxiety related needs if you sign up for mine.
Likewise, there are many many talented people on Helpouts. Google does an excellent job of filtering, and this is one of very few ways in which you can talk to people who are the top in their field for free no matter where in the world you live. I highly recommend checking it out. They have everything from help with gardening and how to do your make-up, to math and business help, to how to play the piano. Highly recommend.
I have been Featured on the Self Improvement Show! Talking with Dr. Irene Conlan was lovely, and we covered the three key areas for a successful career life in great detail. For those interested in the special offer at the end of the show, you may use the code FACEBOOK to get the discount on http://anxietygoaway.com - good for the next week.

I'm going to be on The Self Improvement Show tomorrow - would you be interested in having me talk through the radio show with you this evening (PT)?
I'm going to be asked a series of questions and be discussing them live, so I'd love to do a trial run or two.
WOW! I was featured in an article on the Boston Globe! This is a big deal for my business, and want to thank all of you for your support the last few years.
We couldn't have done it without you!

... See MoreI've been updating my profile on Thumbtack - if you'd like to see my latest reviews, have a look at this link and scroll to the bottom. Thumbtack requires clients to individually submit their reviews directly, as opposed to other sites where I can copy/paste past reviews, so I've been pinging my more recent clients asking for write ups.
Regardless of whether or not I end up getting more clients through this site, getting the reviews feels very good, and I'm glad for the push to ask for them.
I'm still greatly enjoying talking to the different experts on Google Helpouts. Now when I feel like talking to someone to learn something, that's where I usually go. Obviously I'm a little biased since I'm on there myself, but I feel that Google (plus their rating system) does an excellent job in screening people to join the program, so I've been enjoying getting help with editing, singing lessons, and lessons on how to use Wordpress by very friendly and insightful professionals my home office. I still have my own coupon code (SHANNON49V) worth $25 your first Helpout, so by all means, feel free to use this and send it to your friends! When you do use it, it also gives me a $25 coupon that supports my habit
;)
Hi All, I was just offered a code for free Helpouts up to $25. Helpouts is awesome. They have a thorough screening process to let someone into Helpouts, and then they've got a great rating system to help you filter for who is going to be good. There are experts on everything from math, music, and language tutoring to how to understand classic books to fashion advice.
This text link below goes to my Helpoout profile, although you can spend the credit on any Helpout you want....
See More- I had an anxiety attack a few days ago, first one in ages thanks to ...a stressful living situation. It was not fun that,s for sure. I do take meds for that but they can only go so far and do so much. Usually after an attack I dont remember much and I lose my appetite and go for days on an empty stomach. See More
