I have had season tickets for years. My grand children love it. I usually do not do reviews but Derby Dinner went above and beyond and I feel it needs to be heard! At our last show I overslept and w...e got to the show just after they had taken down the breakfast buffet. I felt like such a heal. I had disappointed my grandkids by not being responsible... but assured them all was good.... at least we made the show. They seated us and I immediately excused myself for a moment and left the table. When I returned my grandkids were smiling ear to ear. Sitting in front of them was breakfast from the buffet! I was so amazed at the customer service the Derby Dinner attendants had provided. I guess if we had been much later they would not have been able to provide the breakfast, so that was a blessing as well. Thank you Derby Dinner for such great Customer Service!! I feel very blessed to have such a wonderful theatre close enough to me and my family that we can enjoy the arts!! Keep up the good job! #Aboveandbeyond. #greatfoodshowcustomerservice See More

There is a reason this place has survived for so long. A complete night of good food and very exquisite entertainment without leaving your seat. I don't know of another spot in the entire region that ...offers this kind of service and entertainment quality. These shows are as professional as you would see anywhere and the food is very good. Congratulations Chef Debbie. Thank you so much for one of our best holiday experiences ever. See More

I really couldn't rate this for myself but from the reviews it sounds like a terrible place to go. They are definitely interested in money. Apparently they cram people in so they are seated like sar...dines. They also will not give any kind of discount for people who have cancer or have had very miserable months and months of treatments. How sad there is no compassion for these people to have a discount. Also apparently you have a nasty manager who would rather not be curtious and professional when handling a problem. How sad that you would lose customers over being ugly. I would have loved to see your shows and attend but with these kind of reviews and your eagerness to have money over giving discounts to those who would deserve them, I and my family of 12 will not be coming to your establishment !!!! My family of 7 went to see Funny Money on January 11th. Four of us had to set at one table and 3 at the table next to us. There were 2 people at our table that we didn’t know or was not told that this... would happen. (I didn’t even know they did this). It was so crowded that I could not raise my hand to eat nor was I able to put my feet in between 2 chairs to get out. The person in the middle had to actually get up and stand in the isle disrupting the table next to us. We were setting at tables 89 and 90. How on earth these tables could have been for 6 people, is beyond me. Management needs to put a group of 12 together at these table to test this out. It was ridiculous!
I was very disappointed and could not go for a second helping because I new I would disrupt everyone. Please look into this matter. It was like someone giving you a form to sign your name and only having a1/2” line.

I went to see "A Christmas Carol" with my church group. It was Fantastic! I was so surprised at the performance we got to watch. I always enjoy going to Derby Dinner Playhouse. The wait staff are alwa...ys so polite and I always feel very welcomed there. Cudos to all of the performers, I enjoy the food and you always get to much, lol (could be seasoned a lil bit more), the desserts never disappoint. I will always visit every time I get a chance too. Thank you so much Derbt Dinner Playhouse! See More

Nice place to go to, was a little taken back last night with some of the things and words that were used. First play I heard that was like that. It would be good if you would put a rating on the plays..., so we will know what we're going to getting. I'm a pastor, and if knew some of things that were going to be said and done, I wouldn't have come that play. I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but just thought it would be good to rate the shows. You did say there would be a gun used, but the other things. See More

I wanted to find a place to rate the customer service at Derby Dinner and so far this is the only place I’ve been able to find. I do not live near enough to go to shows however I ordered a gift card a...s a Christmas present. While in transit to the recipient it was lost in the mail. On a whim, I called Derby Dinner about replacing and without any hassle they were able to replace the full value! Thank you for such great customer service. See More

Derby Dinner Playhouse is an outstanding experience for anyone that hasn’t been there! The food is delicious (especially the Spinach Soufflé). Never had a bad meal there in all the times I have attend...ed. The staff is courteous and well trained. The quality of the Actors compare to Hollywood! For that next time you need to make an “impression” choose Derby Dinner or for that matter just go to Derby Dinner and don’t worry about cooking! AND if you are counting calories they have a fantastic Salad Bar! Just can’t go wrong with DDP! See More

Date night with my sweet bride seeing a production of "A Christmas Carol - The Musical!" It's a really good show, but our enjoyment has been diminished by a man wearing a ball cap obstructing some of ...our view... unfortunately, several polite requests to theater management to diplomatically ask him to remove it were ignored. Given the sensitive climate in our country today, we didn't feel comfortable asking the individual to remove his hat, instead considering management making that request to be the better option and more likely to have a peaceful result. We are quite disappointed at the lack of concern clearly communicated by the management of Derby Dinner Theater. In the many years we've been season ticket patrons, we've never had an experience like this. Hope this isn't an indication of the future at DDP! See More

"A Christmas Carol" at the Derby Dinner Playhouse was incredible! The production had the quality of a top-notch Broadway play. I was amazed at the number of actors involved and the special effects the...y were able to pull off in such a small venue and stage. It was the best play we have ever seen there.
As for the food, it was not as good as before. The fish, dumplings and sweet potatoes was dry and not as tasty.
