We paid for an executive room but we got a normal suite. When confronted about it the receptionist was very rude! She also told us the hotel did not have rooms with balconies (with a very bad attitude...) yet we saw about 4 rooms with balconies.
The people were soooooo UNFRIENDLY!! The only friendly people was the cleaner, security and two staff members working at the breakfast.
This was our honeymoon week and it was so bad that we check out after 3 days.

We just got back from Desroches Hotel in Margate.
Will never recommend this place to anyone!
Hotel was busy with renovations over the festive season, drilling and disruption the whole time - dust eve...rywhere!
In general the service was up to sh!t.
Complaining didn’t help. No under cover parking, which means your car is burning out in the sun every day.
Aircon in our room didn’t work, blinds were broken, toilet roll was broken, and every night we couldn’t sleep because of people screaming and laughing, due to the Skybar.
And to end our holiday off, some drunk guy reversed into our new bakkie 😡😡😡
Would NOT recommend!!!!!

The energy in the hotel was positive. We felt very safe as there is a heavy security presence. The food was great and the staff was very polite and approachable. The only improvements that I would rec...ommend is that each room have 2 towels. That was one of the discrepancies we faced. Room service took 3 days to bring us towels and when we received them they were so small I couldn't even dry my hair.

Loud music every night and people smoking outside my window. Tiles are broken al...l over the hotel. Lifts did not work so I had to climb 4 levels everyday. Hotel staff did not help us with our luggage. Wi-fi never worked. No parking and if a spot is open there are security guards from WOLF security keeping the parking for other visitors. I will never go near this place again.

I had to park in some dodge area on new years because the parking was full of other people drinking and braaing in the parking spots and when I reported it the guy infront laughed and said something in another language. Do not go here! And I do not want an apology comment, fix your hotel.

Wow this weekend has been awesome, room service is on point my room is cleaned and chocolates on my bed courtesy, wow I feel welcomed and most of all the Food is 🔥🔥🔥🔥👍🏽.. The only thing that could be ...upgraded a bit is the Wifi, it tends to be slow and not connect on other devices and in other rooms like the Conference room. But that's nothing. Very sad to be leaving this place. We had such a great time. We enjoyed the food at Skybar and the view is beautiful! The place is clean and the staff is very friendly! Keep up the good work.

Bad bad service especially from the manager i dont see myself going back there. We booked a room and upon arrival our names did not appear in their system. We had to sleep in one of the staff members��If it were up to me I wouldn't even give you a star See More

It is very professional clean smart well meanered staff . From first day one feels at home mixture of relaxed an jive mood that makes one feels no diferant from any overseases place. Food very Room good clean.Crow of people welcoming I recommend it to people especial tourists. See More

Oh my gosh this has been one of the worst if not the worst experience of my life. How did you guys get rated 4 stars and who did you pay, because the only deserving maybe 2 stars should be on decor, a...nd that's where it ends. The service is beyond disgusting, I've been to 2 star hotels that have better service, and this is from EVERYONE in the hotel, no toilet paper was given to us our whole stay, the second day I had to ask for toilet paper, the 4th day we ran out again, my fiance had to go to the toilet downstairs and take a roll, the first day we got there, no bath towels we did request but nothing, the second day I had to beg for bath towels because u had to wash my 7month old baby. Sheets don't get changed at all in this place, I have a habit of checking beds before I sleep in them, my fitted sheet had brown dirty stains all over I had to sleep on top of the duvet, I kept quiet to see if they would change it the next day and still not, I requested this from house keeping but they didn't change it once which makes me think if they ever change sheets or if the towels are even clean. Relish restaurant is one of the worst restaurants I've been to, the service is so bad, went there on new years eve and asked if we could get something to eat quick this was at 8pm, we placed our orders for pastas, I asked how long it would take and he said 15min, I was quite stunned because that's quite quick so that's good, nonethe less, half an hour later the waiter came to our table with our drinks, and said he has had to order the food from the sky bar because relish was preparing the buffet for new years eve, why not tell us this before??? Regardless no problem, 15min after that comes to us and says we need to order food from the skybar menu????? So now food that was meant to take 15minutes was now not even ordered in 45min, none the less we ordered a toast and chicken livers, half an hour later another waiter comes to us and says they don't have chicken livers, I asked for the bill and he said no my toast was on its way it's already been made, another half an hour passed with no food, this being said other people arrived after us and got their orders of pasta and anything else they wanted not being from the buffet so I don't know what was wrong with us, 2 hours later. No toast so we just walked out and no one gave a shit. The sky bar is disgusting and made for drunks because that's all you'll find there, not kid friendly at all, the noise levels are over looked no matter the time, we complained but nothing was ever done, it could be 3 or 4am and it was allowed screaming and loud music like I was living in a shebeen, the hotel parking was always full with locals going to the sky bar that we had to park over a kilometre away on the road and walk with our baby and all our valuables to get to the hotel, this should be designated parking for guests only, the Aircons don't come with remotes and they don't adjust the temperature for you so you either have the Aircon on and freeze or you have it off and half die of heat, this being very uncomfortable with my 7 month old baby, all this mentioned being a fraction of the issues we had, and the council should be contacted to check that star rating you guys got because I wouldn't recommend this to any human being, what was supposed to be an awesome December holiday has turned out to be the worst and. Most exhausting of all, all you can say is that you will bring this up to management, it doesn't work, clearly on your page people have complained enough but what are you actually doing about it because it's not just one staff member that's incompetent it's every single staff member that doesn't know what they are doing See More

Please bring back the lady that was in charge before she was the strength of the hotel. Secondly big ups to Lorraine, I called her Norry Lorry from the restaurant with dreads, she is amazing, her hear...t, her work ethics WOW ���� please tell her to keep it up. Its an awesome place for vacation, its neat, NYC veiw. Except for the fact that u wait too long for ur food even a drink u wait more than 20minutes just for drinks.

We were at Room 402, the noise from skybar was unbearable, managers attitude was stinking. We reported to him that breakfast area ran out of filter coffee, he cut my call off and never apologised. Air...con was locked on cold and they refused to change it to warm. I was very disappointed with the whole thing.
