When I was 26, I made an ask that changed everything.
It scared the shit out of me.
Asking is a success tool we too often avoid..like actively avoid....
And when we do ask, it's easy to carve our asks down so they don't REALLY get us what we need to reach our goals.
You know the feeling, when you want to ask for something, but you just take it down a notch to be
polite
careful
respectful
...and whatever else we tell ourselves we need to do that ends up meaning we ask for just a little less. We leave money and opportunity and potential on the table.
Why? Because we read our big asks, that ones that put us in our zone of freaking out, as the asks that are too risky to make. Well, sad to say (not really) that those asks are EXACTLY the kinds that have the potential to change everything.
