I must say that after I prepared this delicious combination of flavors during filming, Jeff and I played rock, paper, scissors to win/enjoy this delicious dish... and....Jeff won this round!...
Well....Why not start the week thinking about dessert! I produced this video with my friend Jeff of Motivated Light Studio. I created a delicious twist on this classic New Orleans Dessert of Bananas Foster.
Hmm...It was tough (not!) having me "take one for the team" in enjoying this purely decadent combination of flavors after we wrapped this video....

Hello to all followers! Update on the happenings of Chef Darling!
Since my last post, I have been "stirring up the pot" in promoting my docu-style travelogue cooking show for continued broadcast.
The Dining with Darling marketing team presented 13 episodes late Spring this year for broadcast consideration to Public Television Station KQED, San Francisco. KQED reaches the vast San Francisco Bay Area and Northern CA, providing national and local public television programming....
We are proud to announce that we have received a "Letter of Intent" from KQED programming to air Dining with Darling! This letter serves as a stamp of approval of the content quality and of the series educational theme.
Upon review, they enjoyed the episodes Bay Area and Sonoma Wine Country flair coupled with my hosting style.The episodes are currently with a post production company for final editing for delivery to KQED.
I'll be sure to keep you all posted as to how things are moving along. In the meantime, I'm always in the kitchen stirring things up!

A few weeks back I made the best brisket EVER (honest!) in my slow cooker.
Got up early, prepared the ingredients, programmed my slow cooker for 9 hours, then trekked off to the beach for some fun in the sun, surf, and....voila, came home to a delicious meal!
I came upon this pork carnitas slow cooker recipe and thought;
man, this looks soooo gooood!

For me, nothing else planted in my garden trumps my two favorite flavors of summer....delicious, sweet garden tomatoes and basil.
I grow a... few varieties of each every year which make their way in many of my recipes to my shared table through the summer, and into early fall.
The California weather is ever so gracious in providing such a long growing summer.....Hoorah!
