Have you heard the hype in Milwaukee yet? Yesterday Milwaukee County Police received a call from a woman saying she spotted a LION in her neighborhood!
Social media is blowing up about this *mysterious* lion - I'm not kidding you, just look up #mkelion and you can see all the posts on it!

Just a friendly but informative summer reminder! Please leave your pets at home during these very hot and humid days of summer! Please share to pass the word.
My best friend, Kerry Bretl, is an amazing artist, and she got the chance to showcase her work at the annual Wausau Chalkfest this past weekend! Her's is the colorful elephant on the cover photo. Check out all the other work, it is amazing!
#fbf Hard to believe that it has almost been a year since we have been to Puerto Rico - the longest time away from our favorite Caribbean island. Need to get back soon ![]()

Here's to summer!
#tbt Looking at my Timehop app earlier, it's hard to believe that 3 years ago was my first plane trip where Andy and I went to Puerto Rico. Little did we know we would return 3 more times in such a short period.
What I do know is that I am certainly ready to go back! ![]()
Where was your first trip?

I shared this on my own Facebook page, and just had to share it with all of you here on DwAB - such a neat video!

Scientists just captured stunning images of deep sea creatures off the coast of Puerto Rico—some are so new to us, they don’t even have names.
#fbf Lagoa das Sete Cidades, Açores (Azores) - a twin lake created by a massive volcano. Two years ago today, after five full days at sea, we stepped off the cruise ship to explore São Miguel and took a tour bus to explore this lake.
Legend of the lakes says that a widowed King full of sadness and grief, controlled his daughter, the beautiful Princess, into not talking or seeing anyone outside of the castle. But being a rebel, the Princess would sneak out of the castle while... the King napped after his lunch to the nearby hills and valleys. One time during one her escapes, the Princess heard beautiful and enchanting music. Everyday she would return to where she heard the music, which was coming from a local shepherd boy, and would stay to listen. One day the shepherd boy caught the Princess behind a bush, with such beauty the Princess held, the shepherd boy was captive by her. They continued to see each other everyday, spending time together, laughing and falling in love. Soon the shepherd boy built up enough courage to ask the King for the Princess's hand in marriage. The shepherd boy marched up to the King, confessing his love for the Princess, and the want to marry her. The King grew furious and banished the boy from the castle, and forbade his daughter to ever see the boy again. Not wanting to hurt her father's feelings, she agreed. The Princess left the castle one last time to tell the shepherd boy that she could not see him again. They cried and cried, filling the lake with their tears. The green water from the green eyed Princess, and blue water from the boy eyed shepherd boy.
What a story!
Sorry for the lack of activity - we celebrated my birthday over the weekend with family, and had lots of fun staying in Wisconsin this time around!
