Playing a breaks set with some of my favorite playa peoples this Saturday at Nightjar 🐰 Dance with us ↓
Got one of my all-time favorites on repeat today. "A Change Is Gonna Come" is an incredible song, but so much more. It holds a very special place in American history and I hear the struggles of our past each time I listen to it. Sadly it seems that we need this song today almost as much as we did in the 60's 😦
It's so great that we have DJs in Seattle who've found their lane and worked hard to perfect a certain sound. You can always depend on them to deliver their signature style when you see em live... APRIL FOOLS!!!
This is how we're doing April Fools' Day on Saturday. Come see me and my friends play songs we have no business dropping at Q Nightclub! 🙃
Well that was amazing. The Night Bass kingpin himself delivered the goods once again! Also 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 to Dig Dug, Dr. Fever, Mark Martinez (Subset), and Durum for... rounding out the sounds in true Low_pass style.
Big Big THANK YOU going out to all the bassline connoisseurs for showing up and gettin low on the dance floor. We'll see you all next month at Low_pass: JACK BEATS !!!
In 1993 my favorite band, without question, was Guns N' Roses so I went to their concert at the Memorial Coliseum in Portland. The opening act ended and then came a standard changeover. Over an hour and a half later the headlining group had still not gone on. Some people left, others were furious... the tension was palpable. About 2 hours after the opener had wrapped up, GnR finally took the stage and immediately proceeded to burn the place down. I've been to a million s...hows, but to this day I've never seen a more electric performance from a frontman. This was Axl Rose in his prime, when GnR was topping the charts and rock was king. I remember that moment like it was yesterday.
Seeing Velvet.Revolver at Showbox Market was absolutely incredible as well, but tonight the ultimate rock n roll all star team is back together and my level of excitement can only be accurately described by listening to the first 8 bars of Welcome to the Jungle. My body is ready. 🤘🏼
Here's my set from Paradise Sunset Sessions on July 20th, 2016. The Wednesday night summer series on the rooftop of Monkey Loft is a house music staple in Seattle, but I managed to sneak a couple breaks in that night 😉
Tonight I'll be wearing a ridiculous costume, drinking draft beer out of plastic pint glasses, dropping breaks on a Funktion-One (Official) rig, and crushing late night pizza with my fellow barnyard animals. Yes, it's April. Don't judge.
