I am up late working on all the details that go into the last 2 days of event planning to host the local simulcast of the largest one-day leadership conference in the world. #leadercast😴
If anyone is interested in attending with their team, let me know. There are a few more spots available and I have a few discounts I can share. 😉
The other week I met a woman who wanted to sell her business. It wasn't because she was ready to retire. It wasn't because she was ready to cash out. It wasn't because she had a motivated buyer. In fact, there was no real good reason she should sell aside from the fact that she was missing her family.
What good is a business, no matter how profitable, if you miss the life a healthy business should provide?
When you know the right levers to pull and the right order to pull them, growing your business becomes quite predictable.
If you're ready to start experiencing control in your business, then we need to talk, BUT there is one thing you need to understand first:
If you ignore this, it doesn't just go away......
I remember when I closed my first business. I was a second generation entrepreneur and just 22 years old. In that experience, I committed myself to figuring out what made some businesses successful and the rest struggle to even grow more than a few points every year.
This commitment drove me to start, grow, and profitably exit 3 additional businesses over the next 10 years.
I know what it's like to feel stuck in a van, on a job site, or in the office trying to come to a peaceful end to the day before it starts again the next day... missing family times, practices, recitals... even the entire weekend.
I know what it's like to wish you had a team of employees who were engaged and committed to your customers and company... and if only they would do what was needed instead of just what you ask.
I remember what it felt like to try to squeeze out financial miracles each week while juggling unpaid invoices and incoming bills... while trying to create SOME kind of sense of security for your family and employees with each week's payroll.
Running and growing a business is not easy, but it doesn't have to be as complicated as it seems.
When you know the right levers to pull and the order to pull them in, getting results and growing your business -- creating freedom of time AND freedom of cash becomes... well, rather predictable.

BUSINESS TIP OF THE DAY
==> HOW RANDOM COUPONS ARE DESTROYING YOUR PROFIT <==
If you sell a $100 service with a 20% net profit margin you have $20 profit left over after all expenses. A $10 coupon cuts your profit's in half....
APPLICATION: You can use this same principle to Dramatically Increase your profits without spending any additional money.
Also, only use coupons when they're carefully thought out. Make sure ALL your team members know how to use the coupon. If you're using coupons to bring in new customers or re-activate old customers, MAKE SURE you have a up-sell program in place and that ALL your staff knows how to execute it effectively.
Does 2017 scare you?
Because if we're being honest there are only two ways to live in these times, and BOTH are scary....
\\\\ 2 Year Olds, New Years Eve, Cookies, and Another Business Lesson ///
Happy New Year!!!
Have you ever tried to have a New Year's party with friends who all have kids?...
Well, the kids had fun... I think.
It took us about two hours to figure out the idea of putting on a movie. But by that time the sugar from cookies had taken control, and the magic of New Year's Eve was gone... at 9:30pm.
By 10:00pm everyone was gone, and Nicole and I were watching Harry Potter at midnight. 😂😂
Last year, as we crawled into bed at 8:30pm, Nicole and I thought about DVRing the ball drop so we could watch it at 7:30 the next morning before William woke up...
Next year... I think we will plan a month in advance, ship him to mamaw's, and invite our friends to do the same.
Next year, IF we get it right, it will have taken my wife and I FOUR YEARS to figure out how to celebrate the New Year's Day with a child. Part of the issue is that it changes so much from year to year. There really ought to be more communication between parents about how these things REALLY work... hasn't ANYONE figured this stuff out!?
It's not like we're business competitors...
In business, our competitors have good reason to hide what really works, so unless you find a proven way of building, running, and growing your business, it CAN take four, five, or even ten or more years to figure out what works.
Looking back at it, when I hired my first real business coach, I was literally BUYING time. With my coach and his system I could get faster results, get faster returns, and reach my dream of freedom much faster than I could have done by making all the mistakes and figuring out all the solutions on my own.
A proven system and a guide to keep you moving beyond your comfort is like fast forwarding your growth and reaching your goals faster and without the costly mistakes and pain along the way.
My goal this year...
To help more people skip to the front of the line, grow their business faster, make more profit and add more free time to their schedule.
... and to finally celebrate the new year the RIGHT way.
May 2017 be your year of REAL freedom and profitability.
One of the most common mistakes I see business owners make this time of year is thinking goal setting will work in their business.
Nearly everyone sets New Year Resolutions, makes commitments, and sets goals this time of year. And it’s painful to watch people set the same goals year after year… hoping that THIS year will be different than the last… that THIS year will FINALLY be the year of breakthrough.
Successful business owners — those who have the freedom of time and free...dom of cash in their business — goal-setting is worthless, and focus on goal-ACHIEVING.
So how do you achieve your goals this year?
Well, SETTING goals is the beginning, but if you didn’t reach your goals last year, you probably won’t THIS year either. That’s because there are underlying issues in your business you need to address first.
In this week's blog post I share 3 areas, in my opinion, that have to be locked down in order to give your business goals ACHIEVEMENT POWER in 2017.
Everyone quietly dreams of freedom, but few are courageous enough to pursue it.
Only those few possess the courage - the boldness - that is required to let their dreams speak aloud. Those small number of heroic men and women stand up in a crowded world full of dying dreams to boldly declare, "I will be free!"
They let their actions be an all-in authentic pursuit of a life that simply will... not... settle. These heroic men and women are willing to fight with everything in the...ir power, stretch out their hand, and grab the freedom for themselves and their family - the freedom they've dreamed of, sacrificed for, and worked damn hard to achieve.
The world calls them Owner, Entrepreneur, or Founder, but at the Growthpoint Coaching Company, I know our clients proudly carry the titles of Leader, Servant, Mentor, Community Worker, Husband or Wife, Father or Mother, Son or Daughter... The list is never ending because alongside their declaration of freedom is a life size commitment to live at the service to the world around them.
They work hard.
And they create opportunities for everyone around them while they pursue their own personal freedom.
Freedom of time.
Freedom of cash.
Freedom of service.
Freedom of purpose.
To all the bold marketplace servants,
From the Growthpoint Coaching Company!
/// WHAT MY TWO YEAR OLD REMINDED ME ABOUT BUSINESS BREAKTHROUGH ///
Our unwillingness to change, face our fears, or jump all-in at life is the only thing that stands between us and our business breakthrough. Things really don't change much in life, other than our willingness to risk and to fully live...
Okay, let me explain......
One of the greatest rewards I have in my life is to be able to spend significant amount of time with my 2 1/2 year old son, William.
Recently, whenever he gets tired of being stuck at home (today was a high of 12* F) he has started saying, "It's go time daddy! Are you ready?"
He means that he's tired of where he is and wants to go do something more exciting like play in the snow, read a book at the library, or go play on the church's indoor playground.
In the same way, this time, between December 6th and January 1st, is my favorite time of the year... It's my GO TIME.
When Thanksgiving, celebrating Nicole & I's anniversary, my birthday and putting up the Christmas decorations are behind me, and I can spend some serious time devoted to my GO TIME.
These 3 1/2 weeks are where I get to assess my life, and I get decide what stays, what goes, and what needs my highest priorities. Its the time I spend planning my actions that will create next year's business breakthroughs.
Right now... IT'S GO TIME! Are you ready?
Take the next few weeks to ask some tough questions about your business:
Do you have the Freedom of time that inspired you to go into business to start with?
Do you have the money to give your family the lifestyle you promised them?
Are you happy where you're at?
Are there things you promised would change in 2016 that haven't?
Isn't it time you did something about it?
For the next few weeks (at least) I'm giving away some of the training I give my business coaching clients... for free....
In this training I reveal my "Growth-Point Formula" for adding 68% MORE profit to ANY service-based business in the next 90 days WITHOUT spending any extra money on new staff, software, or advertising (yes it's possible, AND WAY easier than you think).
If you're ready to get your business breakthrough in 2017, then the hour you spend on this webinar is going to be well worth it. You can register here: http://www.GrowthpointCoaching.com/webinar

Every industry needs Spirit-filled, anointed leaders to help create jobs, improve working conditions and impact society in a positive way. What lights your fire?
