The 2023 PMC marks the first ride for Team Breast Friends and all of our riders! A group of friends hailing from Massachusetts, New York, and Florida, we strive to raise as much as we can to support a wonderful cause that gives 100% (!!!) of donations to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute where one of our riders and team captain, Dena is currently receiving treatment for Metastatic Breast Cancer.
We ride for our friends, family members, and co-workers. We ride for the mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, sons, daughters, husbands, wives, grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles. We ride for the babies that should be learning to walk and talk, not fighting to survive. We ride for the children that have to learn about chemo and platelet counts before they've even learned basic arithmetic. We ride for the high school junior just hoping to make it to prom. We ride for the husbands that planned to be partners, not caretakers. We ride for the parent that... wants to see their children graduate from high school. We ride for our friends that are 'too young' to get cancer. We ride for the uncles that were given 2 months to live and the siblings that dropped everything and flew across the world to care for and support them. We ride so that our boyfriend's dad has the opportunity to become our father-in-law. We ride so that our grandfather can see his oldest grandchild get married, and those that never got to meet theirs. We ride for the nearly 50% of people that will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lifetimes. We ride for 1,670 people in the US alone that lose their battle with cancer every single day. We ride for the healthcare professionals that feel more like bouncers at a morgue. We ride so that the wonderful employees at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute have that much more support in their tireless commitment to finding a cure. We ride so that the words 'you have cancer' stop sounding so darn scary.
We are proud supporters of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer, one mile at a time. All donations are tax dedictuble and greatly appreciated!

Pan-Mass Challenge
US 501(c)(3) Charity
The mission of the Pan-Mass Challenge is to raise money for life-saving cancer care and research at Dana-Farber ...Cancer Institute through its Jimmy Fund. The catalyst for the fundraising effort is a bike-a-thon that crosses the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Committed cyclists, volunteers, corporate sponsors, and individual financial contributors are essential to the PMC achieving this goal. Since its founding in 1980, the PMC has been increasingly successful in mobilizing the support of all these constituencies. We strive to inspire even more proponents of our cause and intend the money we raise to afford Dana-Farber's doctors and researchers the resources necessary to discover cures for all cancers.
